I was in this area running errands when I got a hankering for a Firehouse sub. I'm really picky about which Firehouse location I choose to get my sub, but I was out of the way of my favorite location in White Oak Village and Virginia Center Pkwy. Google maps led me to this one. The restaurant was not busy at all; I was there between the hours of 2:30 and 3 p.m. The employees were nice, the tables and bathrooms were clean. They ran out of sweet tea and I told the male employee; it was ready by the time we wanted a refill. Our food was served promptly and exactly how we ordered it. Customer service: excellent. Cleanliness: excellent. Food: awesome. I have another Firehouse sub location add to my list of five star restaurants.
Always check your order for accuracy. Staff can be kind of short sometimes when dealing w customers.
Love firehouse subs, I have the app so I always pre order. Food is waiting for me when I get there. If you want meat on your sub, you have to try firehouse. The other sub place just gives you bread. This is the best sub shop.
Update. Staff different but same. Nice, patient, polite, pretty quick. Different sandwich options and drinks. Plenty of space and parking. Miss the sauces that were removed from all stores when Covid hit.
Staff was nice. One staff was newer and could see manager on duty that day was really good at training and patience and respect. Military/disabled vet discount given for qualified. Tried different sandwich and was tasty.
The best New York steamer I've had since the franchise has opened. The manager made the sandwich like it was her own.
Friendly people, however service was a little slow. It was the end of the day and they were cleaning up for closing, which is understandable. However, I would've given 5 stars if my LARGE sub had more than 2 slices of MEAT on it!! Mostly bread, very disappointing..and there were mushrooms on it, which doesn't even come on the sub. I love Firehouse, so I'm going to assume this was an off night.
Subs are fresh and made to order. Positive friendly staff. Clean and there are signs stating to allow and practice social distancing methods. Nice to be able to go inside and eat with my wheelchair. Love the fact that part of all take in goes to local firehouses to help with all equipment.
I've been eating here for years. Not one complaint about the food, that's for sure! Best subs in VA, IMO. They loaddd the meat onto Italian subs. I've only had one order wrong (asked for wheat bread & received white in an online order, super minor). Staff is always friendly. I hope the hot sauce selection & fresh limes return after the pandemic. I used to get a cherry soda & add fresh lime juice - to die for! & fresh pickle slices should never go outta style in a sandwich shop! I'm glad they've kept this up. My family loves them.
