This is our 4th time here. This time we shared butternut squash and poblano chile quesadillas and they were great! The service was great and the ambiance is relaxing.

Great stuff. I have eaten all three meals (i.e., breakfast, lunch and dinner) here. The food is always consistantly great. I have NEVER had a bad meal here. My favorite is the shreaded beef taco. Second on the list are the burritos, which I might add is a meal and a later snack. Their green tomatillo salsa is great. I go in about once a week and purchase a pint. They do something to it, they simply do not open a can and dump it in a bowl.
Yes, Cafe Capricho can be crowded which; in my opinion, attests to the consistant quality of the food. The one reviewer that kavitched about the waiting 20 minutes for a food order and another 20 minutes for a drink should have realized the place was busy. They had 20 minutes to decide/think/ponder an order and they did not order a drink? Yes, if you hit that place at the wrong time is is crowded. There are times I phone in and drive over and pick it up and hang out at McKinley Park or just go home and enjoy a wonderful meal. I have never had to wait 20 minutes for service, this must be an exageration.
Good. Really good (and super fresh) food. Beans and rice were perfect! I had two tacos one fried shredded beef (excellent!) and the other was a soft carnita taco, found that the carnita was way too dry! I will go back for sure, just won't order the carnitas. The place was really crowed (off the hook) for a 6pm fortunately I called in an order and it was ready when I got there and it was to go so don't know how long it would take if I just happed in.
They have the worlds best onion rings,garlic fries, and blue fries Onion rings are the best seriously! Cheap food that is high quality :) chips and salsa are wonderful Go to this restaurant =)
Cheap, decent grub. Good black beans. Impressive vegetarian selection. We'll be back.
It’s too bad I can’t leave a 6 star review. This place is straight up legit. When you want some Mexican food (i.e. tacos, burritos, or quesadillas) this should be your first pick. If you want a good hamburger, also this place. Do you fancy a salad? Yup. You can get this here. I felt like the staff was on point with helpfulness and kindness. The food was fantastic. I would recommend the Baja fish tacos, myself. I will be coming back!
We ordered exactly what was recommended by the staff. The crispy tacos are pinched and deep fried so we tried the potato and cheese, and the shredded beef. They were both good, and pretty crispy. The beef was tender, full of flavor and the crumbled cheese on top was a great addition. Then the chicken mole enchiladas are the most chocolate I’ve tasted in a mole. It is sweet and a hint of spicy but surprisingly good. I see why the restaurant brags about it. We also ordered the blue cheese fries and devoured them. The cheese is melty on top and they were perfectly seasoned. Quick service by friendly staff and such reasonable prices!
This place has never disappointed me since it opened. Im not a huge fan of eating there in a to go style container but everyone has their own style. The food is always great and the price is also always affordable. 👍. Bring cash tip.🇺🇸
So many tasty options it was hard to decide what to try for my first visit here! The gentleman at the counter gave me a full menu tour (menus are at the ordering counter, so it's hard to decide ahead - I don't know if that's a permanent set up) with some recommendations. Ended up adding shrimp to a Strand's salad (picture added) and got a side of fried plantains. 🤤
I'll just have to go back again to try literally everything else!

Some of the best tacos I've had! And one of my go-to favorite casual spots in Sac. I've been going here since its opening like a decade ago & is still the best places in town for a great taco. Fresh, quality ingredients crafted into beautiful flavor profiles. Like I said tonight, I've never had anything that wasn't above average here. It's one of those rare places who's passion for cooking great food is more important than fame, recognition or making more restaurants. Thank God there are some restaurateurs who aren't trying so hard to be recognized that they lose their magic ☆
INCREDIBLE. I love a place where it's hard to choose between multiple awesome vegan options. I got the open burrito with butternut squash and it blew my mind. I don't know what that sauce was but I want to bathe in it. Super fresh, every ingredient was tasty. I will 100% be back next time I'm in town.
This place is horrible for my chips and salsa addiction. I don't know if it's acceptable to continuously grab the bowls of chips and salsa that they put on the counter for anyone to grab. But regardless, I did, and I couldn't stop. Is it good for my gallbladder? Hard to tell.
I also had shrimp enchiladas which were great as well.

Fast fresh and healthy food. Many vegetarian options. My favorites are the butternut squash burrito and the vegan combo. Both are full of flavor without weighing you down. Chips and salsa are great. Go for the patio seating if weather permits. Can be busy at lunch time.
