Absolutely the best music in the area. Marquise Knox was phenomenal. That being said, the food was just slightly above inedible. I had high hopes since there was a smoker going outside so I ordered the pulled pork. What I received was a colorless, tasteless pile of some unidentifiable mush. Picture pork left in a crockpot in water for days.... the sweet potato fries were cold and soggy. I see people commenting on the service. I cannot speak to this since there wasn't any service aside from placing the food at the table and removing the plates 2.5 hrs later. We ordered at the bar and the server never offered to refill our drinks once. Did i mention the music was amazing?? Go for the atmosphere, go for the music, go for drinks. Just don't go there hungry and you won't be disappointed.

Here you will find the best music in STL and some great food. Atmosphere is an A+++! Nice accommodating staff and very friendly. This is one of the premier blues bars here in STL. For food I recommend the Fried Cheese Grits!! Something I get EVERY time I order food there for my appetizer. :)

Great atmosphere, Went for the Jazz but got vulgar rap as opener. Music got much better after that. Food quality and menu needs a lot of work. I imagine they will address these deficiencies. Overall enjoyed our evening and will be back.

my review is tailored for out of town guests, because everyone who calls St Louis their home already knows.. if you enjoy great live music and drinks, in an historic building with a top shelf staff, BB's should be your first stop in soulard their hours do vary depending on who is headlining the nights show, so it's always best to call or check their website before heading out

I came to St. Louis for a weekend and wanted to hear some urban blues. the show I reserved tickets for was, unfortunately, canceled due to illness; nonetheless, BB's moved quickly and brought an amazing band to save the night. the drinks are great and the ambience is wonderful.

In town for business and decided wanted live band music and food. Saw BB’s on Instagram and was immediately drawn in by there southern collard greens and red beans and rice. The place had a great atmosphere. Dim lighting inside and out, great portraits of jazz memorabilia all over and even have a second level balcony with an amazing view of the Arch. The Band exceeded my expectations. Great use of the instruments and improvisations. The set list was a assortment of new and classic Neo soul collection. Definitely recommend inviting family or a significant other. The Staff and the food was friendly and attentive. The food was great. Southern cuisine at your Cousins place kind of vibe.

Great place to listen to music on Saturday afternoon. I think I might have been charged for a flat beer. The bartender told me to remind her to take off the charge? We didn't eat there.

I went to support my friends from Seattle... Super awesome Female Bassist Polly O'Keary and The Rhythm Blues Band including Tommy Cook (drums)and David Miller(guitar). They were fantastic as always 💯❤️ See you all next year!!❤️❤️ I also had dinner and drinks. I will personally speak with the owner about the meal that was served instead of posting publicly. Overall, it was a great night with my friends Polly, Tommy and David!!

This place was a total highlight of my STL stay. Ownership was welcoming, neat history, and fantastic music all night (was a Thursday). I enjoyed a nice meal and even got a little dancing in. No complaints, here.

One of my favorite hangouts in St. Louis! Friendly staff, decent food and tremendous music! They are so incredibly supportive of the local community, as well, providing their venue for charity events when asked. Love BB's!

Nice place for music and the food was delicious!! They have an upstairs loft where you can sit and watch the band as well as a large screen TV. Tables and chairs are pretty close together so it makes it a little difficult to navigate to the bar or restroom. The main floor has a unisex bathroom, just one, there is a full womens and mens restrooms on the lower level. Acoustics were excellant. On the side of the building they have a nice porch. Kinda has that Louisiana vibe that matches their food.
