This is my family's favorite restaurant. The staff is very nice, the place is always clean and the food is plentiful and delicious!! Their daily lunch buffet has lots of vegetarian, vegan, and meat options. There's something for everyone in my family!! Sooo good!
What a wonderful place to eat authentic Indian food! Service is great and friendly! Menu easy to understand, with notations to pick your choice of heat.
Great food! Great service! Good prices. I had chicken korma and wanted to lick the bowl. My friend had chicken krahi and loved it.Good atmosphere (good detail, not too kitschy, very clean).
Good food. Very fresh. Great place to eat as a vegetarian.
Great food, mediocre service.. Went with a party of 6 with a friend of mine who was celebrating her birthday. Not particularly busy in the restaurant. Most tables were filled, but we're looking at 15ish tables of 2-4 at most. We were a table of 6. They seemed to have trouble keeping water filled. They brought out 5/6 meals and only returned with the last one when prompted. They neglected to bring out a couple of appetizers. Overall, pretty mediocre service.
That being said, the food was excellent. Everything I ordered was great and I ordered quite a bit. Heard no complaints about the food itself from any of the other people there. I don't have vast experience with Indian food as a whole, but I would definitely go there again. I just wouldn't go with a large group.
Great atmosphere and service! The palak paneer and lamb curry are my favorites.
Great Food!. Even though I don't live close, when I'm craving Indian food I hop on the freeway and head to House of India. It is by far THE BEST Indian food I've had in St. Louis!
Love the Lunch Buffet. I have been to the lunch buffet about 3 times now and I plan on returning. My mouth waters when I think about it! Love it.
AMAZING. This place is just amazing. The dining area is beautiful, along with the atmosphere. The food is delicious and flavorful. The service is speedy, and the waiters are very informative and kind.
This is by far the best Indian food I've ever had.
Amazing food!. We had never been to an Indian resturant before, and we were glad we chose House of India as our first experience! The food was amazing, and actually ended up being very reasonably priced! The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the wait staff was very poliet. We highly recommend it!
Addictive. The whole family loves Indian food especially from House of India. We order meals from here for take out often on the weekends and always when we have guests coming in from out of town.
The scents fill the house and we enjoy eating a collage of korma, saag and Tiki Masala.
The lunch buffet always hits the spot. I love the busy atmosphere with the tables close together it's like everyone there is family and the wait staff and host make you feel like family. They always treat me kindly even if my son makes a mess under the table!
Reasonable Price/ Awesome Food!. Price is very reasonable and their lunch buffet is the BEST.
Got the Rogan Josh, paneer makhani, palak paneer, chicken ginger kabob, dal makhani, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, achar, paneer paratha, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. Absolutely loved the chicken ginger and tikka masala. Also enjoyed how light the curries were. Service was also wonderful! Would come again with a group of people to get a variety of entrees!
I enjoy eating Indian food. When I do, we almost always get the Chicken Tikka Masala. Which is what we did this time.
First time eating here. We ordered takeout. It was good. I also ordered a chai. I had to add some sugar, but I like it sweet. One thing of note regarding the chai, they microwaved it. Not sure if this is normal, but I am pretty sure most of them are made fresh on the stove.
I would definitely go back here. I would also like to dine in to see how that experience is. The interior seemed nice.
This was the first of many visits. The service was wonderful, the waiter and staff were very attentive and polite! The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The food was amazing, I had Chicken Curry and Garlic Nan, my sister had Chicken Tandoori and we finished off with the Mango ice cream. I would definitely recommend House of India and will be returning.
Ordered take out, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The naan was delicious, and the portion size of the chicken was very decent. It was also ready in 30 mins as they said so that was nice!
Checked all the boxes for a wonderful Sunday lunch. 10/10 would recommend.
Excellent Indian food for when you don't want to go the buffet route. Consistent...rock solid every time. Great Central location. Definitely belongs in your rotation!
Great food loved the way they serve and staff is very helpful
Good food, decent ambience, the chai was the best and also was the roti, strangely the yoghurt was too sour (almost vinegar like). Staff is friendly but has limited knowledge of food, multiple spice levels of dishes which is great
My recent visit to 'House of Biryani's and Kebabs' was a delightful experience. The front staff were attentive and courteous, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the biryanis - they were a burst of flavors, perfectly cooked and left me craving for more. This restaurant truly knows how to strike a balance between excellent service and exceptional food. I'll definitely be returning for more culinary delights!"
Don't know much about Indian food but I think this particular food good!. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, nobody complained and the amount of food per dish, was plenty. The beers are pretty average, nothing special but refreshing.
I think the service is worth mention because he did a good job. They place was not full or anything so he focused on us. Although he took his time taking the order he made sure everything was correct. Never had my glass of water empty (sometime this was kinda overwhelming but in general I appreciate it). I feel I'd recommend this place.
