They obviously care. They had 6-7 different beans they would pour over - awesome. I got their newest, the Gamatui. It has a strong fruity smell and the taste was a strong fruity flavor. After a few drinks it’s subtled a. It and is good. Their pastries look very good. Update - took their pour over class with Valerie and Ashley and 7 other people. What an amazing experience! I can’t speak highly enough for these two giving the class. They were patient, super nerdy about the details of coffee. I felt like I was with my people. The attendees in my sub-group of 4 were also fun and super into it. There were 8 people and after a high level discussion of terms and basics of brewing they split us into two groups of 4 and then each of them showed us two different methods, pulse and continuous pours. They would demo it and then each of us would do a pour. Of course we each had to try each others’ pours. All were great, with small variations in taste. I felt like I made at least 5 new friends!

The cafe is a chic, third-wave coffee place, with plenty to draw your eyes. Seating was sparse, but the coffee was incredible. It is always a good sign when they offer a choice of espresso roasts, and when I was there I tried the Penrose both as a shot and as a latte. The shot was complex and flavorful, while the latte was similarly delicious. I recommend this place to anyone who likes to get weird about coffee, or anyone just looking for an excellent cup of coffee.

Great atmosphere. Had a Mocha Latte and they used the perfect amount of mocha unlike a lot of other places that use way to much. Nice and clean place.

Every detail of third wave coffee was covered here - from a warmed ceramic mug, to tableside delivery if your order to expertly prepared espresso, pour overs and milk drinks. The stoppered pourover flasks are a nice touch as well. Baked goods were not stale or leftover from the day before but were served warm and moist. The biscuits had just the right bake. With a flaky inside and slightly salted crust the apple jam they were served with rocked the house.

Simply the best coffee in St. Louis. Incredibly smooth. Will take Blueprint over Kaldi’s any day. If you’d like a bite to eat with your coffee, I highly recommend the egg biscuit sandwich. It’s delicious and the tomato jam is amazing.

I’ve tried all of the local third-wave coffee bars in the area and, simply put, this one is a level above all the other ones. The beans are a little more expensive but it is well worth the price. Plus, you do get a free drink. Kevin, who manages Blueprint, goes above and beyond with every interaction and his staff are exactly the same.

Small space but modern minimalist feel with its bathrooms located so that you have to walk right past the roasters making their beans. Quality oat milk cappuccino and had a nice laptop session working at their tall-seated counter near the wall.

Coffee and food were great. The pumpkin latte I got was next level! The sandwich was also good, there’s a tomato jam inside that really kicked off the flavor. Seating is really limited, on top of that a lot of people in there working on laptops so it’d be nice to see them fill in the back of the cafe with an actual work station rather than up front seating. Just a thought.

Great coffee and espresso. Scientific, third wave approach to their java. Excellent espresso drinks and tasty breakfast treats. The coffee is high class and the atmosphere can be a bit pretentious, but don’t let this turn you away from a great cup of the coveted, dark, caffeinated elixir that keeps us all (well, most of us) going. Their biscuits and jam, housemade granola, and other breakfast options are tasty. Your gonna spend $$$, but if—like me—you have picky (and expensive) tastebuds, this is your spot.

Serious coffee, grungy studious vibe, and their tomato feta scone was delicious. I came here with my dad (a fellow coffee enthusiast and professor at SIU) and we both agreed it was a great coffeeshop to go to on a Sunday morning.
