Fish tacos are great but very light. I ate three of them lol. It’s small and cute. My friends ordered shrimp and beef tacos. The drunk I ordered was really strange. It was coffee with tequila and some mixers. Very very strong, it was my first time trying coffee in cocktails so felt strange but overall enjoyed the environment at central westend.
Great taco place. Had the mango-hop-Anero taco, shrimp with a twist and the special (club Norris) that was a chicken tender, special sauce and a pickle relish. Open concept and friendly atmosphere, great place to eat and people watch. If you in the area a definite stop.

Recently went to Mission Taco Joint with my daughter in the Central West End. It was great! I haven’t eaten here in awhile so it was nice to revisit it. It was nice evening and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Food was great and our waitress was very attentive. Next time you visit St. Louis or find yourself in the Central West End looking for a fun, casual night out, Mission Taco Joint is definitely a restaurant you should consider.
Fast service, great employees, good vibes. Theres outdoor seating for nice days, well lit inside.
I had chicken and shrimp tacos, plus a vegan burrito (CA). All very well presented and taste just as good.
I would definitely return here for sure! Next time is tequila time!!!
Great tasting drinks and food. Just from the atmosphere and staff, I knew anything and everything I ordered was going to be high quality and deliver in the taste category. The side of street corn "off the cob" is amazing and a perfect addition to guac and chips. Our waiter even brought a refill of chips before we had a chance to even ask. I had the Paloma to drink and the price definitely was worth what I received in terms of taste and quality. First time in St. Louis and this was our first stop and I am so glad it was!
Trendy, hip, upbeat taco place with delicious and unique tacos! The salsa has a yummy smokey flavour almost and the queso is thick! The street corn fritters are a fun spin on an elote. They're like fried cornbread balls topped with mayo and cotija. The tacos are full of flavour a mix of sweet, savory and spice. Great service too!
UPDATE: the tacos and frozen margaritas are still on point. Excellent service.
Review from 4 years ago: Best gourmet tacos in St. Louis! My favorite tacos are carne asada, fried Baja fish, and beef brisket. The frozen margaritas, especially the strawberry and pineapple, are dangerously delicious. I love all Mission Taco Joint restaurants in St. Louis (same menu), but was ecstatic when this one opened in the CWE. Great staff and service. The food comes rather quickly and is always fresh.

This was a great little find. All of the tacos were good, the empanada was excellent, and the queso was amazing as well. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars were the taco shells seemed raw. Off putting to the taste. Over all nice spot, great environment, relaxed mixed crowd, also great for families and kiddos.
Best taco joint I found and I live in east Texas, highly recommend, inexpensive and sufficient quality. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Go here if you hungry I'll post the menu and you can order to go or just com in
Diverse and tasty range of tacos combined with an eclectic beer and other booze menu. It gets understandably busy at the weekends but is worth the wait.
Mission was really delicious. We had great service and the meal was timely and affordable. I would highly recommend experiencing the tequila drinks along with the tacos.
A staple of St. Louis, Mission Taco serves fast classic Mexican in a fun and energetic atmosphere. In the heart of the Central West End with ample outside seating, Mission Taco is great for a catch up with friends. Splurge a little and get an extra taco and enjoy the great service!
