Read whole post please: I love LC. Have been eating there since I could drive. Over 40 years. I was happy when this one was built. Typically LC Roast Beef is the bomb and makes Arby’s look like rubber. Tonight the wife and I went. The meal was two meals and I got an extra king beef. It was $36. That is what it is. The service was very good. The staff was friendly and we got our food fast. The place was basically pretty clean. The ketchup dispenser was a mess but it was not working right. Not a big deal. My issue was the food itself tonight. I ordered two king beefs. There is a picture of what they show. I know you never get what is in the picture, but at LC you usually get a nice thick Sammy. Look at the picture of what I received. That was roast beef mush with the amount of “meat” I would expect on a regular sandwich. Trust me I have ordered my fair share and know what I should have gotten. The buns did not have sesame seeds as they usually do. I think they bought hamburger buns from the grocery store. The bun was wet and soggy. Pretty gross. Then when I was eating the fries they were the same. I did not feel like saying anything would help or change anything. I also don’t like complaining because I am not a freeloader looking for some discount. Be aware at this location. You may not be getting what you pay for. I will try another location in the next few weeks and see if it is an LC thing and they are heading the way of Steak N Shake or is it just the one by my house. I am hopeful they are not going backwards because I really like the old school LC.
Solid experience. First time getting my sammies served unwrapped! I like that! Don't forget your mini cone 😎
Also where can I get some LC swag? That lion is looking fresh!
Lion's Choice is a St. Louis-based chain restaurant. They are a lot like Arby's but with better roast beef sandwiches.
This location is clean and the staff are friendly. Our meals arrived very quickly.
The roast beef sandwich included in the kid's meal is tiny. We thought it was a joke. So, I gave my oldest child a large roast beef sandwich which he finished. I think he may have grown out of kid's meals.
The hot dog and chicken strips included in the other kid's meals came in large portions. The quality of the food is much better than other chain restaurants. They had so much food that they had trouble finishing it. (More for me.)
The ice cream treat included in the kid's meals is that little reminder that Lion's Choice is a great restaurant chain. The attention to details like that and the sauces will keep me coming back for a long time.
