Loved the restaurant, the service was nice and the establishment had great decor. We arrived just as it opened and I'm very happy that we did, because it got packed quickly. I would highly recommend the fried chicken and waffle, it was delicious. Bring your appetite if you order it though, it is massive! We also ordered the stuffed catfish...it was decent, but I personally couldn't say that I would recommend it. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience.
If you like Creole and you happen to be in the Saint Louis area, this is the place for you. (Also, if you're a Saint Louis local, this is in the old digs of the Chocolate Bar.) The menu at L'Acadiane seems not overwhelming, which means that every dish is honed to spicy perfection. The chef does a great job. I started off with the ribs, which showcase the awesome flavor of the place. I tried the jambalaya, the etoufee, and the crab stuffed catfish, all of which was delicious. The beignets finished the meal off right.
I thoroughly enjoyed this place! At first glance it seems like there's very limited seating, yet there's more seating which is hidden down a hall way in the back.
I ordered a shrimp Po' Boy and it was very delicious. However, I was expecting my sandwich to be overloaded with shrimp. My expectations were based off shrimp Po' Boys in New Orleans so I can see why I didn't quite get what I was assuming would be on my plate.
