Hands down best falafel in St Louis! Almost never leave without a container of tzatziki sauce and a bag of pita chips to take home. Really wish I still worked in the area.
Try the babaganoush or any of the puff pastries. Their falafel is amazing too! The owner is always there and the food is always fresh. Anytime I'm in the county I stop by and stock up!
This place has been there for 20+ years. It’s a great carry out staple although you can eat there also. Food is always very good and the owner behind the counter is always helpful, nice and courteous. I would definitely recommend the place. I never needed to order ahead. Food prep has always taken five minutes or less regardless of what I order.
Food was good but not stellar, pricing and atmosphere considered, the experience was subpar. I wanted to love it as it seems like a genuine, traditional pita spot. I ended up paying $11 for a gyro, no drink no side.
If you're in the Chesterfield/Creve Coeur area, you have to try Pita Plus. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Even though we walked in less than 15 minutes before closing, he still gave us the option to dine in or take it to go. He recommended the falafel platter and said it was a popular favorite. So we decided to give it a try. The falafel here is one of the best i have had in St. Louis. It is made fresh packed with a lot of flavor, crunchiness and tastes delicious.
In addition to the falafel plate (with hummus and salad) we ordered a classic gyro. The pita bread is made fresh and hot which is a plus. They have a plethora of sauces in the refrigerator that you can ask for at request including tzatziki and hot chili sauce. Portions are moderate. They also have some homemade desserts. The food is made to order and hot. There is a small seating area if you want to dine in or you can take it to go. Perfect for lunch or dinner. We will definitely come back.
The best Gyro meat I've ever tasted. Small store in corner of center has Southeastern European cuisine. Very friendly couple run it. Very clean. We'll go back often.
Get the falafel here! These were amazing and why I'm giving this place 4 stars. Very unique in that they were softer than other falafel. Most falafel have a harder "shell" when they are fried, but these were very thin and they still had a nice crunch. They also have a great flavor.
The gyro however, was just ok. There are better options around STL for a gyro. I like that they have TzaTziki and other condiments on the table though, and the staff is all very helpful and friendly.
Delicious falafel sandwich!!! A "must order" full of great flavors.. pic of sandwich doesn't do it justice .. should also add that the size of this sandwich is generous/filling, comes with pita chips & tahini dressing...I've tasted the hummus as an add on to my sandwich and I loved it & want to try the baklava in the near future.
Gyro was tender and juicy. The biscuits in the warmer filler with different meats and cheeses were flaky and delicious!
A pretty good gyro in a place that feels authentic. But what really takes this place over the top is the burekas. He sold me a spinach one as an impulse purchase, but it turned out to be the best thing I've had in a long time. It's like a fluffy, buttery cloud that just flakes apart in your hands.
I had a good time . I ordered falafel sandwich. It was really yumm
My daughter and I tried this the other day and the food was wonderful. I am more familiar with Greek and this is more Middle Eastern flavors (so tahini instead of tzaki for example). We were both very happy and will go back. My daughter got the traditional gyro and I got their Chicken and rice plate. Both were excellent and far too much food for us to eat in one setting. I recommend that you give this place a try!
