Today we both had salads and we both agreed the dressing was pretty tasty.
I also have gotten food to go from here and I advise you call in your order because we had to wait a bit before it was ready.
I will go back again because the food is pretty good nothing special of course there are other Italian restaurants around with better food but it's ok if you're looking for something Italian .
You order at the counter so don't expect to have your food served to you ..
Best Wedding Caterer!. We used Filomena's for our daughter's wedding in Webster Grove, MO in November. Not only was the food some of the best Italian I've ever eaten, but they were amazingly professional and skilled at serving our guests. They were there early, ready to help with any last minute details, and stayed until the dishes were packed away and the venue organized. No request was too big, as they even made changes the week of the wedding! I would highly recommend them for any function, and any budget. They are a no frills Restaurant, but their food and service says GOURMET 5 STAR!
Stopped for lunch. Nothing fancy about the decor. The food is excellent and the price reasonable. Will be regular stop.
Went twice in 3 days. Quick and amazing Italian! Don't miss the Arancini and anything with the Marinara or Meat Sauce.
It's called protecting your sandwich!. I went here for lunch recently and all I have to say is WOW! The roast beef is phenomenal and the aus jus is SO good you can drink it! We had the arancini which was also delicious and the marinara sauce was excellent too. Definitely check this place out, well worth the trip. I will be back for more.
All about taste--really good taste.. Four of us ate at this tiny photo-shop-turned dine-in and drive through restaurant. It's BYOB; no corkage fee. After a sip of wine & friendly welcome we settled in to what would be a very nice evening. We did not even notice we were eating with plastic utensils after the first bits of our appetizers: arancini and meatballs. Both were some of the best we have ever tried. The house made marinara was excellent. Wedding soup the very best ever! Chicken Parm, Beef Genovese w/risotto, Grilled Vegetable sandwich with provelone & Carmalina's Rst. Beef ALL great. Family owned and friendly. Well worth the trip.
Great little Italian place. Small parking lot but don't let that change your mind about eating here. Great food and friendly staff. The house dressing on the salad is a balsamic vinaigrette and is fantastic. The new flat bread pizza are really good and perfect for one.
Sweetest small home cooking Italian place run by a grandmother and her granddaughter - wouldn't you want to be in business with your granny? I know I would. Absolutely delicious Italian food. I had arancini and eggplant parmesan. I keep hearing about arancini - on Sopranos, in books, but I could never find them at Italian restaurants! You can imagine my excitement when I found them at Filomena's!
Well above average food. Great value. Nice local owners. Dog friendly staff at take out window. This is a great chance to get really good Italian food and avoid the “chains”. Chicken Parm and Chef salad are excellent.
I love this restaurant. They are well known for their catering services, but I personally love just walking in, ordering, and enjoying a sit down meal in their dining space. It is a lovely interior with cute tables. Great for any party size. Great food served fast!
Small cafe vibe. 10-12 tables. Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. Mozzarella risotto balls are a great appetizer. Huge carry out business. A great value for money paid.
I unfortunately moved away from the St. Louis area 3 years ago, but any time I come back to visit I make my way over to Filomena's and order some arrancini because there is nothing else that compares. Enormous balls of pure deliciousness.
Carmelina's roast beef sandwich is excellent, and I don't know if I've ever felt the need to order anything else!
Pasta is really good and the price is right. The no-frills dining room isn't much to write home about, but they do takeout too. This has landed on the takeout rotation for when we have friends coming over but we don't want to cook.
Filomena's is a great place for lunch or dinner. The Filomena's special sandwich was very good and very filling. The Beef Ravioli were great, a generous serving in a tangy marinara sauce. Arancini are a house specialty that you just don't find at other restaurants and should not be missed. The place is small, nothing fancy but Filomena's is well worth the visit.
Good food and service. Would suggest automatically providing a serving of Italian bread and butter with all carryout pastas and other entrees, without customer having to remember to request it. Has always been graciously provided when requested, but we sometimes forget to ask for it.
Really good Italian food; casual atmosphere. The restaurant has a very loyal customer base, and does a lot of catering. It is a small place (seats about 30) Nd does a sizable takeout business.
