I have ordered Pan de Muerto for my Spanish classes for the past few years. The employees are so friendly and the bread is the best I've ever had. I highly recommend coming in and trying some of their delicious treats!
I just discovered them at the Schlafly Farmers market several weeks ago but I didn't know their name. Well, I found out the name of the bakery and promptly called and had 3 each of the following empanadas: cherry, apple, and peach. Well, I literally just left El Chico (I'm sitting in my car outside in front of the bakery) and ended up getting even more empanadas as well as a bunch of cookies and other sweets. Their empanadas are some of the best empanadas I've ever had. I highly recommend coming by, smelling the baked goods, and of course buying more than you planned!!
Finally caught them open!!!! First time I tried them was doing Cinco de Mayo and I fell in love . First time I tried the sugar cookies and they are amazing. The second visit I try sugar cookies and the elephant ear. Love this place. Closed on Tuesday***
Had a 3 milk cake made , topped with fresh fruit. It was a total success. Taste delicious and the staff is nice.
Nice family owners. When they run out of pastry you have to come back later.

Google said they closed later than they do so I arrived after they had closed. But the owner popped out and kindly offered to get me something since he was still there. He recommended some hot lemon empanadas fresh from the oven that were absolutely delicious. Great food and above and beyond service!
Great customer service and friendly staff that will help you make sure you are satisfied with your purchases. Amazing pastries and cookies are fairly soft for how big and thick they are
What a quaint shop! The person working the counter was helpful and friendly. I walked out with two cookies the size of my face for less than $2..they were delicious
Low, low prices on some incredibly tasty treats. Friendly service. Every time I've been in they've had a ton of variety to choose from.
