Highly recommended!. Like a quick trip to Mexico without the airfare or border crossing. The beef fajitas really were the best I've had - the meat was like steak. Excellent quac, pico de gallo and charro beans. The only thing I didn't care for was the salsa. Very reasonable prices and nice service. If you want tacos, they're hidden on the back of the menu under the breakfast items.
It's Worth a Quarter, and Then There's the Food. The terms Jalisco and Cabana are pretty popular for Mexican restaurants here in San Antonio. It's one of those "I wish I had a quarter for every" kind of things. Though the name may be a quarter a dozen (inflation), the food was inexpensive and tasty from the cheese enchiladas to the bean and cheese nachos. Wait staff was attentive with English as a second language communication; no problem though. Just lots of smiles. Would like to come back for breakfast as the tortillas were a definite invitation for speculation as to possible combination with fluffy eggs and breakfast meats.
Wonderful Breakfast Tacos. Walked into this very clean, very well appointed Mexican restaurant and ordered some breakfast tacos.
I ordered a potato and egg and the egg was freshly cooked and the bacon was thick and flavorful. I also had a picadillo taco. The beef was well seasoned and the potato was perfect.
A good experience.
