The difference at Berry to Bean is quality. They soften then filter their water which makes a difference in taste in their coffee and tea selections. They offer organic and vegan snacks and pastries. Kam, the owner, whose family has always been enthusiastic about feeding people well, is serious about offering the best. The smoothies and juices are fresh, not from premixed bags, the service is custom and hospitable. The space is airy and purposeful with menus on the chalkboard walls. I liked it so much that I will probably be entertaining there with my piano and perhaps even debuting new music that I've written . And I want a smoothie! Come and let them know what you want!
After not being able to find a table at local coffee in Alamo Heights, my daughter and I were reminded of a new neighborhood coffee shop in the Mahncke Park area, Berry to Bean. I met the owners a few weeks ago and they seemed like solid guys. Great interior, plenty of room, nice artwork on the walls that doubles as a menu of items. Bathrooms look great. The latte was excellent and the service very helpful and friendly. My one ask would be outside seating but that may be out of their control or something that will come in the future. Great to have a local coffee shop here we can walk to. “I love this place,” my 14 year old daughter said.
Great vegan pastries, employees are friendly. Environment is relaxed and clean. Amazing prices. 👏 would definitely be visiting again.
Berry to Bean Coffee House is a must try! My fiance and I are regulars now because of their juices, amazing! Red Refresher and Cool Kale juices are what we recommend for a refreshing healthy beverage. The vibe is very laid back and relaxing. Only bad thing is juices are not served up until close.
Had the iced lattes. Good coffee average prices. The baristas were very nice and helpful. Nice place to chill. Will come again to try more drinks.

Nice local coffee shop. Try there refreshers, really good and the fruit and vegetables taste fresh.
This was a well thought out coffee shop. We all have our personal preferences but for me Berry to Bean was warm and relaxing upon entering. Lighting and color scheme work well and the bar is delightfully understated yet inviting. The coffee mural with its menu is well placed and you get the sense that of customers are waiting to order you will not feel crowded doing so. My latte was wonderful, donuts good and service was great.
Staff is really good and we love the coffee here!
Coffee is great! Setting is quaint. Could use a little more energy in descriptive verbal content of the story behind BTB and a little guidance would be helpful with flow of condiments. Smells great when you walk in! Vegan baked goodies are yummy!
