These sandwiches are very pricey, but the ingredients, quality, and taste make it worth it. Although the sandwiches we ordered were pretty basic (looking at the pictures I took), the meat and cheese were top notch, the portion size was pretty big, and the bread was absolutely a delicious must try. The bread, the unique ingredient options, and the quality of ingredients are what separates them from other sandwhich shops.

It was our first time to RUBICON DELI. We were coming from the Cabrillo National Monument, and needed a sandwich shop.
We had given up and were on our way home, when I found this place online. I should say that the disabled parking is lacking, but we did find some at the top of the hill.
I reported that to GET IT DONE SAN DIEGO, and hopefully they will get one on their block soon!!!
I had the roast beef sandwich with house chips and a Diet Pepsi, and my partner had a tuna sandwich with potatoes salad.
I had to go back and purchase my Diet Pepsi separately, and was assisted by a very friendly gentleman.
He wrang me up separately.
WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED with our choice of Rubicon Deli for Lunch. EVERYTHING tasted great, and the service was great as well.
Sandwiches are delicious. Bread is to die for. And you get a sweet treat with your sandwich which is always a fun surprise! The portions are huge (1 full sandwich is easily 2 big meals, or even 3-4 smaller meals!)
I'm very picky about cookies but their chocolate chip cookies are perfect. Love that they're bite size (or two bite size for smaller bites) and super soft.
The ingredients they use are fresh and high quality. Potato chips are crispy af and the seasoning is just right. 🤌
Only downside is I'm always torn between ordering the last delicious sandwich I got or trying a new one from the menu 😭

The sandwiches are huge! The large is about the length of a 12 inch traditional sub. We ate it so quick, we forgot to get a picture. Yum! Each sandwich comes with 1 bite-sized, delicious, chocolate chip cookie. I would NOT recommend dining inside or outside during sunset when it's warm outside. We took ours to go. The storefront faces the sunset and even the workers inside were complaining of the heat. Cute little spot for a sandwich though!
Such a cute little deli! Stopped in on my way to the airport for a bite before heading back to Chicago. Had the spicy tuna and it was AMAZING. The cream soda was delicious as well as the homemade chips. 10/10 recommend
Excellent excellent service and really good sandwiches. I always get the Rubicon special with gluten free French roll it's a special treat, it's expensive... but I'm gluten free and I'm so happy they offer this. A man who I think was the manager helped me and was very friendly.
Just moved to San Diego a couple days ago, but have to say this may rank in top 5 sandwiches I’ve ever had. The guy at the counter was great with suggesting something from the menu, went with the rich boy on garlic cheese bread (full). Just a heads up, these sandwiches are huge - I ate half and took the rest home, already can’t wait for the leftovers. Will probably go with the dapper dipper or one of the cold options next time. Highly recommend, will be back.
Great choice for fantastic sub sandwiches. Fresh breads and high quality deli are meshed together to produce wonderful sandwiches. We had the pastrami and it was perfect. The dozen small chocolate chip cookies for dessert was worth every penny.

If you are looking for hi end A M A Z I N G sandwich place, this place is it! Next time well be in San Diego well defiantly stop by again. TIP sandwiches are huge. Order 1/2 if you are hungry and you can easily split full sandwich between 3 people. Staff told me that Dapper dipper and Rich boy are super popular. Seating areas are in front of restaurant and on second floor. They accept apple pay. Samsung pay and google pay.
