I can’t believe this place has been in my neighborhood for five years and I just discovered because my friend recommended we meet there. The decor is adorable. Festive atmosphere in this odd shopping center with a 7-11 and Popeye’s and other retail. It is an order at the register and they bring the food to you. It is not fine dining but the food is delicious and the place was packed on a Sunday night. They do serve some alcohol in bottles/cans. I went with a vegetarian who loved the potato taquitos. The California taquitos were delicious too. Employees were all lovely and patient with my first-time ordering process. Highly recommend a visit.

This place is quickly becoming a favorite of mine in this area! I have tried the California taquito (potato and beef), potato taquito and chicken taquitos are the only thing I have tried here but they are outstanding. You can buy as many taquitos as you want, and mix and match, as they don’t force you into buying 4 or 8… I always get them topped with birria or carnitas, which are both extremely tasty, and that costs extra. Some of the included topics are sour cream, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese and guac. If you order mix and match, they add little stickers and tell you exactly which taquito is which. This place is never crowded around lunch time and they are very speedy with giving you the food, which makes it very worth it to get lunch here if Roy have a short break. Service is also great, and it’s easy to find parking.

Bomb spot for Taquitos. Love the variety since neither I nor my partner eat beef. Staff is super friendly. Definitely go if you're in the area and hankering for rolled tacos.

I found this place on Google. Since I'm a big reviewer, I always turn to Google. It was good. Taquitos were full of meat in every bite. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the beans tasted like they came from a can. But if you want taquitos.. try this place.

I really loved this place when visiting San Diego. We loved the fact that all food was gluten free. And not only that, everything was amazing. My favourite was the taquitos dorados. Crunchy and super tasty. I usually only visit restaurants once when travelling, but this place was so good that we came here 3 times during our vacation. Needless to say, I’ll come back for sure! Gracias!

All the taquitos here are gluten free and in a dedicated fryer. They also taste amazing! I highly recommend the california taquitos. They are piled generously with toppings.

They do one thing, taquitos, and they do them well. Not trying to be everything to everybody, just perfect fresh rolled tacos.

What a find! Gluten free, but also free naturally of many other allergens. Emailing them we found they were so helpful when asking about allergies. On the day of we literally tried every kind of thing — multiple varieties of taquitos, loaded fries, and nachos. All so delicious. I especially loved the loaded fries with chicken, and the chicken taquitos.

Pronounced "el tee-ain-gees" (kinda rhymes with "hangry", and apparently means "street market"), this little gem was a wonderful find. We rolled in close to closing time, but were still served and allowed to dine-in by the kind and friendly owner. The joint has a casual vibe and also allows for takeout, but I'd recommend sitting in to eat your taquitos as fresh as possible! DO note that, much like the rest of San Diego at this time, strict COVID masking up, vaccine checks, and distancing are NOT currently enforced here. We got 12 taquitos to share between the 2 of us, and it proved to be plenty of food. We could've done with 10, but they aren't served in that quantity (at least on the menu). We wanted to try all the flavors, so we got 3 beef, 3 chicken, 3 Cali, 2 potato, and 1 vegan (quinoa and lentils), all loaded with the works (cheese, sour cream, shredded lettuce, guac- we chose ours with pico de gallo salsa) and also requested all 3 sauces to try (a non-spicy green tomatillo, a mild red, and a "spicy" darker red which didn't turn out to be very spicy at all to us). The owner was also very kind in presenting each flavor to us upon delivery. Everything was so delicious! (Again- DEFINITELY eat these fresh!) The taquitos' textures are wonderfully crispy outside and satisfyingly soft inside, and so much more delicious when made fresh this way than the frozen stuff you can get at the grocery! That stuff is like a shadow of this stuff- as if the one-dimensional stuff we'd tried before (the frozen buys) came to life with stunning colors I didn't know they had possible in 'em. I was quite a fan of the potato ones, actually, and enjoyed my beef ones the best out of all the meat options (though they all tasted great!). The sauces all went well with them and you can't go wrong (I personally liked the darker "spicy" red one the most). All the toppings really took our taquitos experience to the next level. I highly recommend El Tianguis if you're in the area, for solid, delicious taquitos that make for a great full meal! (The toppings, including guac and lettuce and stuff, really push these out of the "snack" category into real meal deals!) ... and big thanks to the lovely owner for welcoming us so well to San Diego! With such yummy places to try, our time here is a guaranteed win. I only wish there were more places like this all over, so we could have them more frequently in the future!
