Jumped out for a weekend in the Bay Area to hang with my kid and catch a Giants Game. We walked forever and found Delancey Street. Great story about this restaurant as it was established to help those who are reintegrating into society. There are definitely NOT enough programs like this. Great open space with a very comfy patio for outdoor dining. Service was very good as our waiter and the entire crew were very attentive. The Buffalo burger was good more flavorful than spicy. The Fried Buttermilk Chicken was tremendous and the aioli tasty but not spicy. Great food and a great time. Wish there was something like this in our town as I’d do my best to become a part of it.

Beautifully set along the Embarcadero with great views of the Bay Bridge and water, Delancey Street served up a delicious brunch with great service at an amazing price. The food was all very fresh and the menu had so many great options. Bonus was supporting a legendary organization doing so much good for its participants. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

In town from GA, Brother was in the Hospital. He was discouraged and suggested we have lunch here. What a beautiful, relaxing spot to enjoy your meal. Right across the street from the Bay. There is plenty of parking, close to transit and ferry. Staff were very professional and very friendly. Inside and outside dining. We sat outside and just enjoyed the warm sunshine and cool breeze. The menu, well, there's something for everyone. The portions are extremely filling. The price was very reasonable. I do believe you can bring your 4-legged friend as well if you dine outside. Of course, there are no restrictions for service dogs. You got to check this place out, breakfast lunch, or dinner. Also, take the time to read about the history of this remarkable establishment. To the entire staff, keep up the great work. Thank you for what you have done in the past and what you are doing.

I dined here with 2 other friends one weekend afternoon and it was pretty chill. Not very busy and we got seated outside. Note that since this is on the waterfront slightly, it could get windy and chilly even though there are some heaters. The food didn't take too long to come out. We had bruschetta which was pretty simple nothing too extraordinary. Also ordered the Singaporean noodles which was pretty spicy for me, the half chicken which was normal, the pesto pasta which was pretty nice, and a large veggie bowl. Overall food was not that impressive though there is large variety. Coming here to support the mission of this restaurant is what's more important to me and so I encourage others to visit this place as well! It's located in a nice neighborhood with good walking area afterwards.

The food is nice, the location is beautiful always with parking available. Very cheap for what you get. Also, apparently the staff are well taken care of and their cultures are incorporated in the food.

The hubby and I decided to try brunch here today because it's only a 12 minute walk from home. Prior to our visit, I was unaware of the story and mission behind this restaurant. I was amazed to learn that Delancey Street Restaurant is a training school of the Delancey Street Foundation, the country's largest self-help residential organization for people who have hit bottom to completely rebuild their lives, and all restaurant proceeds after food costs go directly to house, feed and clothe their residents and teach all skills, values and attitudes needed for a successful drug-free and crime-free life in the mainstream society. This made the experience even more meaningful. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was good. The mimosas were a plus! Great pours haha. The bagel chips they brought to the table were good too. I ordered the French toast and hubby ordered the two egg breakfast. Prices were surprisingly reasonable, which is atypical for the city. Looks like we've found our new neighborhood weekend brunch spot. Next time, I'll try the eggs Benedict.

I am SO sorry it's taken me this long to visit Delancey Street Restaurant. The place is amazing. Not only is the ambiance great - feels like an old school Italian restaurant with a heated patio with the best views of the Bay Bridge and the bay - but its mission is so heartwarming and the prices are inflation-proof! I got the Ahi Tuna Steak with green beans and fingerling potatoes, a $4 pint of Anchor Steam, and a Miracle on Delancey Street cocktail. Everything was well-done and, like I said, affordable. My husband got the 1/2 rack of ribs which was the true standout. It came with drool-worth grits and a huge slice of sweet potato pie. Everything was FOURTEEN DOLLARS. We couldn't believe it. Our third guest got the pre-fixe Jewish dinner, which she enjoyed as well. The wait staff was so nice and warm. The fact that Delancey has been in business for so long and has given thousands of people a second-chance makes the meal worth it alone. Definitely visit!

What a great place! The food was great and the service even better. Look up the story behind the restaurant and it will give you even more reasons to go there. Plenty of street metered parking. Very reasonably priced. Beautiful patio. Great views of the water.
