This was one of the places that I frequently went to back when I was living in San Francisco. It was the perfect night dive to relax in for a bit...quiet (well, usually) very friendly staff who got to know me and my friends very well as regulars, and some of the best-tasting doughnuts and apple fritters I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into. When you're walking along Polk St., you'll know you're near when the sweet fragrance of fresh pastry hits your senses. If there's anyone in the bay area who hasn't yet taken part of this delight, I highly recommend stopping there for a bite, if you're ever in their neighborhood. Otherwise, ya' don't know what you're missing. I love where I live now, but damn I miss that place and I wish we had one like it up here.

Best Donut shop period! The "old fashions" are out of this world and taste the best when they're fresh out of the fryer! Love this shop!!!

Best donut(s) I have ever had. They were fresh, flaky, melt in your mouth deliciousness. I have 3 different types all were wonderful. I was greeted by staff immediately, service was quick. Bonus: open 24 hrs. I visited before flying out of San franciscio around 3:30AM. The neighborhood appeared safe.
