Delicious. Great service.. Went there for lunch and ordered the "Jungle Curry" which was a clear broth. Very tasty and light. The owners (husband and wife) are gracious and friendly and clearly take pride in what they serve and how they treat their guests. I would go back again.
Wonderful service and food. We really enjoy eating here.
Yum! The beef salad was excellent and the waitress was right. When I ordered hot, she recommended medium and it was plenty hot for me. Wish I lived closer so I could try again soon.
Excellent Pad Pring King and Spicy Noodles. Best I've had other than Lotus of Siam in Vegas. Far better than other Thai restaurants I've eaten at in SF.
Recently, we tried two dishes at Jitlada. One was Chef Pai's BBQ Chicken and the other was Gra Prow. Both tasted good. We were really surprised to find a Thai restaurant in this area (near Japantown) and almost went somewhere else to eat. Glad we were able to try this place out. Very clean but bare-bones interior. Been on my bucket list for such a long time and finally found a time to visit on a Saturday afternoon as they are not packed with people like they usually are in the peak hours. I would say the food is pretty decent-don’t really like the flavor of pad Thai so hard to say it’s authentic or not. But the BBQ pork is amazing-you can truly taste the smoking favor as well as the tenderness of the pork, they are definitely using good pork for that! Would recommend this dish if you are coming!
Jitlada is a hidden gem near Japantown, offering a truly authentic Thai experience. As a Thai, I'm impressed by the genuine flavors and traditional dishes. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making you feel instantly at home. Their Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), Spicy Wings, and Thai-Style Pork Ribs are must-tries. The portion is ginormous. We also had Mango Sticky Rice, which was incredible. The staff's attentiveness add to the charm. Highly recommend for an authentic taste of Thailand!
Went to this lovely Thai place on a Friday night near Japantown. The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the crab meat fried rice and fish cake for appetizer. Other food our table ordered is the spicy chicken wing & pad kee mao. The taste is authentic! And the price is very reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants in this area!!! Highly recommended!
Accidentally came across this place when i was around the area, so I decided to check it out. Not bad the time i went cause it was early, but the place was still quiet. Food tasted good but it was a quick bite for me. Customer Service was great i must say, but that's just the Thai courtesy.. Id go back
Great little hidden gem near Japantown! Went in before closing with a group of four and our food came out really quick. Portion sizes were also very generous and the food was very flavorful. I got the Khao Soi and loved it!
Vegetarian Review!
A nice little thai restaurant in the Japantown neighborhood of San Francisco! Humble, cozy atmosphere that isn’t too formal or modern. Moderate SF pricing, about $15 for a large portion. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with tofu, medium spicy and a thai iced tea. It came pretty quickly and was very flavorful! I must say though, if you are a pad kee mao fan, the best i’ve ever had (very consistently) is at Modern Thai on Polk. Jitalda’s was not bad, just different and the texture wasn’t the best.
I also had a delicious thai iced tea!
The spot is very homey and cozy. This spot is in Japantown and is closeby to all the Japanese restaurants. If you need a break from all the Japanese food, Jitlada offers an extensive menu of Thai cuisine.
I got their pad see ew, Thai fish cakes, and Khao soi. Pad see ew was standard and it had a lot of chicken. The fish cakes were fried well on the outside and inside, it was juicy and flavorful. The star of the show was their Khao soi. It was a cold night, so having this coconut-based soup warmed me up well. The noodles were cooked properly and the flavor is curry-like but more soupy and coconut forward. It did lean a lil bit sweet but nonetheless, I enjoyed this more than the pad see ew.
Definitely worth checking out. Workers are friendly and attentive.
The cashew chicken is super tasty! For the price the portions were reasonable. Left me satisfied and with leftovers. The Thai fried rice was dry, not as flavorful but after I poured the juice from the cashew chicken it was delicious! The veggies were fresh as was all the food. Really enjoyed the flavors and quality of the meat. It's a little place easy to miss but inside it is larger. Can accommodate dine in comfortably. No outdoor seating. Close to Japan town. Employees were friendly. Very happy with the experience, would recommend and will be back!
Great, low-key Thai restaurant. Really good food and very nice staff. I went with the stir-fried eggplant (asked them to substitute soft tofu for the protein), also had the green curry (not in photo). Both dishes had really good flavor, and good quality vegetables
Great local small restaurant with very nice Thai food. There was no one in the restaurant when I arrived but was attended right away. Menues are available online over QR code or in paper if you ask for it. Food was very tasty! They ask what level of spice you want and they hit the notes! Staff here is very attentive and try to make you feel welcome. Would definitely come back!
