Located on the top level of downtown San Francisco's Westfield Shopping Center, this La Boulange is usually filled with shoppers. It's special attraction is the Dome right above the seating area. the dim lighting, high metallic counters, and designer stores surrounding it gives the place a European feel (add dance club traffic to that on weekends and holidays). It's a good spot to grab a sandwich, coffee, or pastry after a shopping spree or on the way to the movie at the theater in the mall, but not the place to linger with a book.
Their location is perfect for taking a break after all the shopping in the mall. Love their french pastries and drinks! Recommend their macaroons for a quick delicate snack for that afternoon break from all the walking.
My friend and I went there looking for a delicious loaf of bread. Not only did we find that, but we also got an amazing selection of spreads, and mouth-watering pastries to choose from next time we visit. Which we definitely will.
The sanwiches and salads are good. In addition, the location has a good variety of delicous macaroons.

Super romantical! During the holidays, this is like a surprise mad romance! While it still is a coffee shop, it's fantastic.
