I remember going to Sonoma Taco Shop in RP 15 years ago and I loved how tasty and healthy it felt to enjoy Mexican food. I recently went up to the North Bay for an errand and came across this location which still gave me a throwback of what I used to enjoy at the other location (Carne Asada enchiladas, no cheese). I am giving this Mexican place 5 stars exactly for the reason that the food lives up to feeling healthy while still being delicious/flavorful. Another plus for this place when you order in is the super thin, not overly salted tortilla chips that they serve with whatever salsa you want - I always opt for the spiciest one they have which never fails to whet my appetite. Don't come here expecting you're getting the kind of Mexican food you'd get in the Mission but come here expecting you'll have a meal like it's homemade.
We had lunch here after a Mt. Bike ride in China Camp. Delicious salsas! We had tacos and a burrito that were all fantastic. Service was super friendly. Prices reasonable. Will be back!
This is a great place to get a truly healthy and delicious meal. I always have the McDougall Tostada.

The food is very good, large portions and reasonably priced. I had the chicken taco with cheese and pinto beans. Very tasty!

I was going to go next door to get a bagel and go but I thought maybe get protein in instead with a couple of tacos. Sure glad I found this place. The food is authentic and fresh! The service was above and beyond...the cook delivered my food and offered to bring me more chips and salsa. Great customer service. The music isn't so load that you can't think. I'm a travel nurse so I "sample " a lot of restaurants. Haven't good service like this in a long time. For those asking if they should come here...YES! And I'll be back
BTW...if you eat in they actually serve you in real plates and wrap the silverware?! Prices a way too reasonable

Came in from out of town and was looking for some real Mexican food. Nice staff and good food. I got the Chile relleno and enchiladas 👍
