It's refreshing to see a new offering in this location, it has been mediocre Italian food for many years. Oddly enough not the first New Mexican place in town (though more Santa Fe), but very tasty selections and our server was outstanding. He was even able to convince us to have the key lime pie even though we aren't dessert eaters. It was quite delicious. So were the other choices: the pork torchon was flavorful and spicy, the warm veg salad with duck egg was most excellent (highly recommended), the sopapillas were yummy. Will be back!
I enjoyed a meal with my queen here the other night. The staff was very friendly, and the space is airy and unassuming, with thoughtful (and sparse) decor. I thought it had a respectable beer and wine selection, although I would have liked to see more offerings. My girlfriend's seared chicken tacos (folds) were tasty and delicious; my red chile pork enchiladas (flats) lacked flavor and spice, and the posole was watery. Our two desserts, the key lime pie and the chocolate budding, inspired our interpretation of the scene from "When Harry met Sally". In short, those desserts were delicious!
I would come back again, and encourage others to try it out. Hopefully they can expand their beer offering and add some more seasoning/spices and substance to some of their dishes!
Wonderful ambiance, reasonable prices, great staff, and absolutely fantastic food. Unique and unlike anything else around, this is a perfect date night spot. Get the tres leches cake and a cup of coffee to finish off your meal. You won’t regret it.
Excellent Mexican cuisine expertly prepare. Definitely a taste treat. Fast and courteous service.
