Lunch special in San Rafael, California. We were handed the lunch menu. Our tea was poured. We had two choices to make: the entree and type of rice. The soup was corn and chicken - very tasty. The appetizer was a spring roll - nice. My beef with baby bok choy and black mushrooms was great. The scallops in black bean sauce was good but needed a little extra kick...quickly provided with a small dish of pepper sauce. Ping's has lunch down to a science for a very low price.
Love the quality and staff!. I found out about Ping's by chance when our women's group met there because our regular hotel venue was being remodeled. The food was so good and the service so exceptionally great that we voted to change our meeting place to Ping's. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the customer definitely gets special attention. AND the food is very carefully prepared and consistent. I enjoy attending with a bunch of friends so we can try 7 or 8 dishes. If you have 12 or more, you can reserve the back room and even order ahead. Try a variety--it's all good.
Wonderful everytime. I even had a birthday party here in the private room and we had the best time. Great food, great management, convenient location.
I've been searching for a good Mandarin restaurant (they have other styles too, good menu) for a long time. While staying in my old hood, a person suggested Ping's here in San Rafael, CA. You can order ahead but uses a company to delivery, I used Uber.
The food was hot upon arrival, very good and reasonably priced for the portions of food. I will order again the next time I visit here.
This was takeout, can not say about the ambiance of the restaurant or the service. Who ever took my order was so pleasant and helpful.
Every waiter is really nice and their way better service than it used to how and the chow mein is really good.
Delicious Food. When my children were young, their Aquarium had lots of exotic fish and was very popular. Went again this week after a dozen years, and the food and ambiance did not disappoint. My now 21yo agreed and confirmed my 5 Star Rating.
Food is great, fresh and tasty. Service quick and the atmosphere there charming and cozy. I don’t give 5stars because I don’t like having the bill on the table when I am still eating my main course.
They're permanently closed! Not sure why Google refuses to update this.
Best Chinese food in South Marin. Prices better than San Francisco.
Great service, great prices, great food! Just moved to San Rafael and I'm so glad I was introduced to this place. The ambiance is nice too, with a fish tank, lots of seating. Servers were very attentive.
The egg foo young was a bit bland, but the vegetables were crisp and flavorful. The sesame fried prawns had a good flavor and wasn't overly breaded. Singapore rice noodles with curry sauce... delish pan fried flavor and variety of meats. They have many unique dishes that I haven't seen before. Will be back soon!
I ordered take out tonight. Even though they were slammed, they got my food done in 10 minutes. The princess chicken is so garlicky and just the right amount of spicy. The BBQ pork chow mein is killer, so is the hot and sour soup. Plus they are super friendly!
We were in n the area and decided to stop. Great decision. Tony was very helpful with my decision what to have for dinner.
I had the Mongolian Beef it was delicious!! There was a nice amount of beef that was juicy and tender. The sauce had just enough spice. I ate every bite of food in the plate.
My husband had the Spicy Basil Chicken. Again checked full of tender chicken breast. The chicken was tender you did not need a knife.
The server walked by with a bowl of their special wonton soup. It was a large bowl looked like enough for 6 servings.
Both dishes were excellent!! Everything we saw served looked appetizing.
Service was friendly and welcoming .made us feel.like they valued our business.
We arrived with a party of nine. They had room at the big table. Very friendly and professional owner. He rushed around to get everything set for us. They really took care of us. The stand out dishes for me were Salt and pepper prawns, Mongolian beef, and the cashew chicken. It was all yummy and we had a good time as well. This is one of my father's restaurants. They treat him like a celebrity. This also pleases me. Good times at Ping's!
Best Chinese food in Marin. Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes, and lots of menu items to choose from. The soups are amazing, as is the Princess Beef and calamari with green beans. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Ping's is one of my favorite restaurant in the area.
