Great food & customer service from the servers. Not so much from the young lady that seats you. Phenomenal view & beautiful day to eat on the deck. Drinks & food were great & am definitely coming back. Had the prime rib dipper, yum yum 😋 ! Calamari was decent. Clam chowder was delicious too. Appreciate your service nick.

We had what seemed like half the menu and a bunch of drinks, the bill came to over 714$ with gratuity of 20% included because of our large group.
The service was great and very attentive and they even brought the awning down for us because the sun was intense.
Overall everything was really good and we all had a great time, kinda pricy considering but still - treat yourself when you can 😎

The food was amazing, the service was fantastic! We only waited about 5-10 minutes for a table. Once we were sat, our server was quick! She took our order and our food came out shortly after! Best clam chowder I've ever had and I've tried so many different ones all over California. Amazing, amazing, amazing!
I come here sometimes on my days off to have a drink 🍸 and some good food. The staff is friendly and the service here is typically good. There's alot of great food here from clam chowder to fettuccine Alfredo steak. They also have awesome salmon and many other great dishes to choose from. They have outdoor or indoor dinning with the ocean view. Definitely give it a go if you are in the area. Keep in mind it is expensive here and can add up quickly but it's in the tourist area so ya! Anyways still a nice experience.
Food was tasty, service was good as well. Stuffed salmon and the mexican mimosa were absolutely delicious. A little pricey, but its seafood on the beach so that is to be expected. The quality of food was worth the price. We would definitely come back here! Thanks for a great meal!
We ordered the grilled garlic and brie charcuterie board as well as the fish tacos. Both were solid choices, especially the tacos. Market price for 1/2 dozen fresh oysters was $18.95 today. The menu has diverse options for a variety of preferences. The guy next to me at the bar bragged about his bloody mary, but I got the local IPA and it was fine. Ideal Bar & Grill has a boardwalk location and plenty of good energy. Plenty of wait staff and everyone was friendly.
I would give it a 4 Star since all of our food came out cold but the clam chowder made me give it 5 stars.
This has some of the best chowder I've ever had and it came out hot in the bread bowl. Big chunks of clam and it reminded me of something a grandmother would make. Come here for the chowder.
The Gilroy garlic fries were good but they came out cold if they would of been hot it would of been spot on. I will definitely come back for the chowder!
The service was good and the ambiance was nice. We ordered the Brie cheese plate with garlic and was happily surprised by the presentation (pic was taken after we started digging in) and flavors. The Santa Cruz local beer was a welcomed addition as well!
