Pretty run of the mill sandwich shop, but I've always had excellent customer service. The guy that I usually see behind the counter is bubbly, kinda goofy (in a good way) and helpful. They are always careful and attentive to my gluten-allergy and use non contaminated services and tools if you specify the allergy. The woman making the sandwiches is super pleasant and does not hesitate to clarify and execute any special requests. I don't know what brand they use, but their gluten-free bread isn't bad! They have daily soups, a large selection of fountain drinks, lemonades, teas and a dessert case.
My only missing star is because I wish they used better quality cheeses. In my opinion that makes or breaks a sandwich. I may be wrong, but their cheese tastes processed and like it comes in plastic, pre-sliced.
Every time I went to Harbor High, I used to go to this location.... With something on the menu, I could never go wrong, but I still went to Pilgrims Progress.
Last weekend, I went back home and decided to stop by to grab something fast and simple. The store was super tidy, the employees were all wearing masks, and I was friendly with the one employee I interacted with. I went to go with my old one and it didn't change a whit! We didn't have a burger routine, dunkin, etc. when I left Santa Cruz... During these hard times it is cool to see that local companies are still doing well!
Excellent soups and sandwiches. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Very clean.

Rarely do I see anyone going above and beyond in the workplace. But Adolfo tonight did so, when a simple accidental overlook of an online order happened. Never an issue to me, but Adolfo made it right and got the order going quicker than I could say thank you, ensured that it was made well and with care. I definitely appreciate the man in his position and how polite he was just makes me want to come back even more. So once again thank you Adolfo for making a tiny mistake your own and making it right with extreme quickness thanks again!
