We’ve been coming here every Friday night (except during Covid) for 7 years. Deceptively simple but excellent flavorful locally sourced pastas and pizzas, with friendly, lovely attention from the staff and the owner. Casual vibe and perfect for families. Small but great wine selection as well. A real gem!
Definitely one of my favorite pizza places in Santa Cruz. It’s hard to get authentic Italian pizza like this unless you’re in a bigger city. Great place for a stop for a quick and inexpensive meal. Their warm gourmet olive plates is incredible with pizza.
Pizzeria Avanti never fails to impress... A friendly spot with consistent delicious food on the west side. Inviting, warm-toned ambiance featuring Italian ceramics. Relaxed service. The right scale--bustling on a Friday night but not loud.
Pictured are butternut squash ravioli and shrimp scampi, both good! Ceaser salad (split between two people) was also solid. They had a great local Syrah on the wine list (Alfaro Family Estate -- Corralitos).
Wonderful experience at Pizzeria Avanti - we shared the butter lettuce with beets salad, then split the lasagna and the chicken fusilli. We had more than enough left overs the next day! Excellent wine, amazing staff, always a pleasure to dine here.
Deliciously quick service matched by some of the best pizza in Santa Cruz! Super easy to pick up on a weeknight. I ordered two pizzas and it was ready 10 minutes later right when I got there and piping hot too!
