Small cafe, amazing homemade dim sum, 14 different soups, 17 vegetarian specialties, 20 lunch specials, 25 chef specialties, clay pots, sizzling platters, and full Chinese menu. Excellent food. They have Peking duck and soup dumplings as regular menu items. Amazing tea selection.

I am giving five stars because the owners are so very kind and accommodating. This place is child friendly unless a certain regular is there in the evenings, she was rather rude and grumpy, but the owners are very nice and so are their children who help serve. The food is yummy. My young children liked the shrimp wonton appetizer. The shrimp dumpling was way too starchy for my taste.

I haven't found a place in the area that serves anything but the most basic of dim sum. Here, I found several of my favorites - notably pork shui mai and delectable custard, lotus paste and BBQ pork steamed buns. They have egg tarts, shrimp dumplings and many more. Please consider that dim sum takes a little bit of time to prepare versus the more common Chinese-American fare, but it is WELL worth the wait. They have all the favorites that can be found at many other Chinese restaurants, so if you are more interested in soup, noodles, pork, etc., the option is still there. Lunch specials are also available.

This place is my new favorite in Santa Cruz. It's a family room business and it is really nice to see everyone working together and taking pride in their business. The customer service is always great, and everyone in the family is really nice and gracious. But those soup dumplings though.. Omg those soup dumplings are so freaking good. I love Xiao Long Bao, and these exceed expectations. Each bite sized dumpling, spoon coated in a well balanced vinegar ginger soy sauce, is a symphony of flavor and texture. Seriously, they're so good. They also have an ample selection of vegetarian food, both vegetarian by nature and those "veggie-meat" substitutes as well. The vegetables always taste fresh and distinct. As a last note, they have really good bubble tea too. I don't usually get boba when I get milk tea, but here it's worth it. The boba actually has a nice tapioca flavor.

We come here a few times a month. It's a nice, family run restaurant. Really solid, fresh food, at fair prices. I know other reviews mentioned not having enough staff, but it's a small place and employees are expensive. If you want great food, give this place a try!

Not your everyday hum drum dim sum. It's authentic and with really exciting flavors and options!!! I asked the owner and she said they make everything fresh every day.
