Good place for a snack while visiting Coimbra. The prices are good and the location is great. Plus, the building conveys the historic roots it has. The service is super friendly and they’re happy to help as-needed.

Stop in and have a coffee, tea or beer. This space is beautiful and they have musicians Thursday - Sunday evenings. We enjoyed some local Fado music during our stop here. The staff was great, and the experience was very memorable.
Beautiful venue with solid wood furniture inside, very grateful decoration with original features. The terrace is great for people watching in the square and the students performing. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. They were playing do inside which was a nice treat. H only complain is the wine menu, no description of what will be served other than white and red, we got Casal Garcia which being a cheap supermarket wine doesn't make justice to the beautiful interior. Such a shame

The architecture is impressive, we only went in for drinks so can't speak for the food, and we listened to the night of fado which was lovely. Service is decent.
Wow! What a BEAUTIFUL cafe! Breakfast was good. I had to pay cash because the credit card machine wasn’t working. Breakfast for 2 cost ~ €14. I’m coming back for the 18:00 fado show tonight.
