This is what you call a diamond in the rough. We almost didn't walk in cause the outside perception, but were glad we did. Everything is made from scratch by Bruno himself. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but if I had one suggestion get a side of meatballs. (They're incredible)

Awesome & authentic. The lasagna with meatballs was delicious. Dont let the outside appearence disuade you, try it you will be glad you did.
The restaurant was wonderful. A true Italian eatery from the cheesy Italian masterpieces to the warm and inviting family ran and owned atmosphere. We enjoyed everything that we ordered from the menu. The service was quick and the staff was humorous and welcoming. There were tourist and locals alike. After eating we were stuffed to the brim and couldn't find room for dessert, even though it looked amazing. No matter what you order, make sure that you get their amazing homemade bread with your meal. Five stars.
Doin' It Themselves (The Right Way). If you dont build your own Meatballs then get lost. Thats my motto. Bruno's knows what Im talking about and they do it right. Perhaps there could have been a little more flavor brimming from all of it but overall the little bastards were excellent. Baking your own Bread is certainly a way to win me over too. The stuff they make here, I wanted a loaf to take home with me. But that was like 1000 miles away, so I decided to enjoy the present. Yes, a very good Meatball Sub along with a fantastic Pasta Salad has me saying 'Grazie'
Had a Pizza a couple nights later and no complaints have been filed. Lack of evidence. Box was found empty. Cased Closed

If you want AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine close to the Santa Monica Pier, then Bruno's Italian Restaurant is the place to go. Bruno’s reminded me of all the delicious meals I had during my many trips throughout Italy. The pepperoni pizza, pasta and chicken parmesan were fantastic! Take a look at the mouth-watering photos I posted. The service was also great. Before leaving my wife and I spoke to one of the co-owner chefs who recently moved from Naples, Italy. His passion for providing fine Italian cuisine experience was very evident. I highly recommend lunch or dinner at Bruno’s while visiting Santa Monica.
I am in town on vacation and stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant through a Google search. Oh boy, I wish I lived nearby so that I could eat there regularly. The fettuchini alfredo was the best I've ever tasted. It arrived at the table fresh, hot, and authentic, with a generous half loaf of bread. I sat on the patio. The weather was perfect with a view of the pier. The waitstaff was kind and efficient. I will be returning before my vacation is over.
Perfectly delicious and very authentic Italian. The menu is mostly vegetarian which is nice for my friends. They offer bread which is pretty good. We got the chicken parmigiana, penne with vodka sauce, and fettuccine Alfredo. My friends couldn’t even take because of how savory and delicious the food was. We also shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio which went perfectly with our meals. It was the end of the night but we weren’t rushed at all. The staffed is friendly and thorough. They offer nice desserts too.
I have been coming to Bruno’s for a couple years now, and the food always never disappoints. The food is always delicious, and all the employees are very nice, and very welcoming environment.
If you’re in Santa Monica you should come check it out.

I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was BEAUTIFUL. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was exquisite. I 100% recommend this restaurant. They are extremely professional, authentic, and very friendly. Our waiter has an amazing demeanor and I felt very welcomed. Next time I'm in Santa Monica, I'll come here.
Fantastic casual family restaurant. If you're looking for high-end atmosphere this is not your place. The food portions were large the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I had the meatball appetizer which was 2 large meatballs and sauce with bread and I had the spaghetti with meat sauce entree. My wife had Caesar salad with no anchovies and the eggplant parmesan. Everything was outstanding! Particular the salad was very fresh The bread was really tasty and we liked the entrees. I usually struggle with meatballs and these were great. Don't be put off by the low end appearance This is a great place to eat. Total cost was $65 before tip.
One of my girlfriend's favorite childhood places. And i must admit it was the Best pizza I've had in some time.
Hello, my good people. So, this restaurant is one of a kind. You can’t get much better than Bruno’s. The blond waitress is so caring and compassionate. The key takeaway of this restaurant has to be the food that tastes like it came straight from Venice. The water also tastes filtered and is delicious. I will attach a picture for observation.
