I go to El Pollo Loco a lot, but Santa Monica is the best. They have the friendliest staff, along with the great El Pollo Loco food. It gets a bit overcrowded when SamoHi lets out, so avoid going between 3 & 4 on school days

Pollo loco they say! Definitely with the plentiful mix of beans, rice, chicken, avocado, lettuce, and sauces tossed in a bowl or burrito. Tasteful and delicious Mexican cuisine.
Staff was working so hard and churning out food very efficiently! They were also super kind and the burrito tasted great!
Really impressed with this location. The food was great, people working here were kind and prompt with their service. You can actually see all of the chicken being grilled fresh, too. Highly recommend this El Pollo Loco.
The chicken and side dishes were all very good. They prepared it quickly so the wait was short. The staff was nice.
The service and food were pretty good. Decent prices and portions. I'd say the inside feels kind of outdated and not super welcoming but if you're taking an order to go it's a good option.

My only take away for this place is that they charge you creamy cilantro. $0.45 per each one. Not even one complimentary one. I have problems with charging for the second one, but charging for both is plain ridiculous.

Absolutely! Some of the best chicken I've ever had. Not only a great fave flavor cooked over the open fire but incredibly tender. Perfectly cooked 9 and 1/2 out of 10
