Husband and I just had a party on Thursday evening at Robata = BEST service, staff (GM's Nash, Brian and the lovely Stephanie, Leslie and Joanie). Kudos to Chef Yoshi. PERFECT venue! Highly recommend.
Been coming here for +5 years. Still so good! Service top notch too.
A great happy hour with plenty of choices. The Fuji Apple martini was delicious. The skewers and in house sauce were delicious. I especially liked the shrimp and salmon skewers.
My husband got the Sapporo draft. No complaints by him. This place has a nice vibe. Stop on for the daily happy hour specials.
Updating my review...still Absolutely a great EXPERIENCE. The food (special charcoaled grilled meats, seafood and veggies along with sashimi were out of this world good. and the ambiance was wonderful not “stuffy sophisticated”. Try the premium Sake flight!!!! The people from manager, bartender, servers, and bussers are just great well trained and importantly attentive welcoming and especially helpful. Just go and enjoy!!

Fantastic place for great food and to watch a game. VERY few places in LA where you can watch the Dodgers and have great sushi and robata. The servers and bartenders are amazing and friendly.
I especially love their happy hour from 5 p.m. to 6:30. Delicious Robata skewers 3 for $7 also great sushi rolls at $5 per. Park in Santa Monica parking structures free for 90 minutes. also happy hour priced wines plum wine beers Etc
The sushi and kababs were fantastic but portion sizes are very small. Be prepared to order 2 or 3 kababs for a light lunch. While the more expensive steak kababs were very tasty I'm not sure they are worth it considering the portion sizes.
Really glad KazuNori around the corner were too incompetent to seat 3 people - otherwise we wouldn’t have tried this place. Every single dish was delicious - very simple yet amazing flavors. Black cod and ribeye were our favorites!
I get to eat here a lot since I work close by. I must say the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the spot well kept consistently. Pricing is reasonable and they serve sizeable portions.
So, food is fine, menu format makes no sense... 2 sushi or 4 sashimi? Ummm why not follow industry standard 3?
Also, no sampler menu????? I can't get a sashimi sampler? Just seems silly. And nothing to write down.. if I'm expected to order multiple things like at a sushi bar, give me the sushi sheet to mark up!
