Thirty minutes or so from Seaside on Sunset Highway is Camp 18.  If you're hungry and have a big appetite then Camp 18 is the place to eat.  The servings are big and don't forget to order one of their giant cinnamon rolls.  Just make sure you bring a few friends to help you eat it!  I got the shredded steak quesadilla which I shared with my sons and my husband had a beef and cheddar melt.  And of course, for dessert we ordered a cinnamon roll.  Even with all of us eating it, there was still leftovers.

Camp 18 Restaurant is a bit off of the beaten path, but it's a path worth finding!
Built in the 70's by Gordon Smith and Maurie Clark,

it is still owned and operated by the Smith family.

Logging is the primary industry in this area and this restaurant pays homage in its design and decor - the timber used to build Camp 18 was actually logged by Smith, who still has a mill nearby.

Good food. Big portions. The price seems a little expensive but when you see the portion size, you understand.

The atmosphere is very cool. Log cabin, fire going, pictures. Worth the visit.

This is a family tradition. If you like cinnamon rolls this is the place to go. They are huge and they have raisins. I mean huge as in complete plate coverage. Other food is good. Wife and I shared spinach and sausage omelette and it was very good. Any trip to seaside requires a stop at camp 18

Love it!!!. We love camp 18! My whole family ALWAYS finds a time to stop there on our way to and from the coast. Their Pie a la mode is fabulous! My husband and I were treated like royalty recently on our way home late in the evening. We stopped in for a warm hot cocoa...ordered one to share and were given two with no extra charge! Great service, food, and decor :)

Food Guy. Brought in a large group of 20 on a Tour. The hostess was very upset that we did not call ahead. I had and was told that they don't take reservations. Took forever for one dude to keep reading his book all alone at our table for 20. Had to finally go ask him to go finish is somewhere else after 20 minutes. Thought I was rude and I thanked him and our group sat down after a 45 wait. Food was large and was tasty and we got served after we started to bang silverware on the table. Fun log cabin place very popular place so remember you probably will have to wait.

Very Rustic and peaceful. I love eating at Camp 18. Not only is the inside wonderfully built with huge logs, you can also walk around outside and view all the old logging equipment from many years ago. It's a very interesting place to visit and the kids absokutely loved it.

Unique restaurant within a beautiful log cabin. Large fireplace with seating while you wait. There's a bar upstairs, and downstairs is a banquet hall you can rent out. Stream behind restaurant was relaxing. Friendly service and a gift shop next door to look at while you wait. Got the homemade clam chowder in bread bowl. Son got the stack of flat cars (pancakes), and hubby got the biscuits and gravy.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Camp 18 today. There was no wait to get a table and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The server was awesome, and the food was really good. The prices were a bit high, but considering where they are located, it was reasonable. The portions were really big too, so that was nice. The building and decor were amazing and a real step back in time. It was like having lunch inside a museum! The gift shop was cute, but pricey. There are a lot of cool old logging and railroad equipment on display outside, which provided for a nice after lunch stroll. We really recommend this place as a nice meal destination.

If you've driven to Cannon Beach from Portland Oregon, you've driven past this restaurant. You can't miss it. It's a big wooden lodge with massive mining equipment in the parking lot. Primarily known for their breakfast, Camp 18 serves lunch and dinner as well. On this visit, I had the Lumber Jack Burger and it was huge! So delicious and the fries were crispy and hot. The restaurant is exquisitely decorated in November and December for Christmas and is a great time to go. It is the off season so service was a little slow. I would recommend calling ahead if you have a dining party of 4 or more. But other than that I would recommend a trip to Camp 18.

We did not know to wait and eat. This place is amazing. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating even for the general tourists that are not eating. Heard good reviews about the food, but this will have to wait. For now, enjoy the history and atmosphere.

Always a Christmas tradition to have a meal there in December. SO BEAUTIFUL! We love the ambiance of the place and the service is always nice as well. Delicious food and good sized portions for an affordable price too.

The club and BLT were pretty good. I prefer higher quality bread but the bacon was thick and tasty. Nice for after a long hike. The fries and especially the cinnamon roll were incredible. I generally go for a cinnamon roll with a tighter roll and assumed this one would be bready but no. It was so gooey and delicious. I was dreading the size of it but now I am glad to have more for later. I see now why it’s alway so busy whenever I drive by.

I love camp.18 it's a bit nostalgic for me so I'm probably biased but I love the atmosphere and how it feels very homey several beers are available on tap as well as cider and a wine list. I didn't see any liquor list or anything so i don't think they serve it. Maybe call and double check because I could be wrong. I recommend all the burgers as well as the blue cheese dressing, onion rings and the fries. Some of the best onion rings and fries around and I'm pretty picky. Oftentimes I find that the fries have old tasting oil and they come out somewhat soggy from the more homey restaurants and that's not the case with camp 18 you're getting nice crisp fries that aren't drenched in oil and burnt. Also the service was great we had 2 very angry children that turned into evil ogres about halfway into the meal they decided to dump out their drinks at different times in protest of not getting what they wanted. Overall, a great time and we will be back again. Much love from X oregonians.

Was recommended we checked this place out by some locals. It had a very homey feel. The food was amazing, and workers were very friendly. We stopped by the gift shop to get some souvenirs, and walked around a bit to look at some of the history they have on display. There was a very cool trail behind the restaurant that we checked out. We almost missed the restaurant because it was directly after a curve, but very grateful we stopped.

Love this place. I had the country fried steak & I was not disappointed. The service was great. It was very busy, but they were able to seat us in 5 minutes. The architecture was just stunning and the amount of things to look at around the restaurant seemed never-ending. I love that it's family owned and operated. The gift shop was really fun to peruse as well. I can't wait to back in good weather and explore the historicle logging equipment around the grounds. If you take hwy 26 to the coast, you should definitely stop and check it out.

If you’re looking for homemade food with a lodge type feel then check this place out on your way to Seaside. Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Also check out the old logging equipment and you can take a restroom break in the caboose.
