Stumptown is my go-to coffee shop. They have the best mocha in Seattle (made with woodblock chocolate); it's creamy without the weird taste that chocolate syrups have. I love their single-origin beans, and you can get a huge range of flavors (sage, lime, blackberry). Their Grand Cru beans come out a few times a year and I always have my friends over for a tasting. They're some of the most unique beans you'll ever have.
Place is tiny so if you are thinking of coming and working here would not suggest that. This place would be better for meeting a friend. The quality is good, i should say i tried equally good cappuccino for cheaper price. Overall stuff is nice and friendly, bright space with huge window on one side. They also have some selection of pastries.
Ordered a mocha here for my first time. It was quite good, not overly sweet. It was a bit pricey, but not overly so given the location. However, my visit seemed a bit lacking. The seating arrangement and table situation isn't conducive to getting much work done if you have much more than a laptop, and the music selection was a bit too upbeat for my liking (though you can just use your headphones, as I did). Would go again, but probably wouldn't frequent.
