TLDR: mom and pop shop serving food with a ton of great flavor!
We ordered the loco moco and the kaua pork and both were amazing! The hamburger patty had a great char on it that added some depth of flavor, the pork was tender and just pulled apart, with great flavor. Definitely a taste of Hawaii in Seattle and the prices are super reasonable as well! Those two plates came out to around $23!
I always come here when I visit Seattle and I'm craving food from back home. My go to is the lawai crispy chicken.
This time I got a little bit of everything. The laulau, Kalua pig and lomi salmon plate. As well as the lawai crispy chicken and the fried saimen. Each place comes with rice and mac salad as every plate should (only because that's the standard back home on the islands).
Service was great, good is always yummy. Parking can be slim during busy times. And the wait can be little bit long but that just means the food is fresh and I'm not going to complain about that.
And if you need dessert to next door for some guava cake (it's too sweet for me but I've tried it and enjoyed it. What I really find delicious is the chocolate macnut long John.
I got the ginger chicken and the loco moco to-go. And I didn't eat until an hour later but the food was still really good. Surprisingly the ginger chicken was still pretty crispy and tasted pretty darn good. The only "problem" would be that I wish the loco moco had more gravy but other than that it tasted great.
