We were in Seattle for the weekend and hadn't had breakfast hence stopped by randomly at this cute little cafe that was on our way.
We shared an oatmeal cookie and cappuccino. The cookie was so delicious, it had that homemade taste stuffed with raisins, cranberries, nuts! The lady was friendly and warm and she was running the kitchen on her own and we felt as if we had stopped by at her house for coffee time :) . Nothing like feeling at home in a cafe, right?
What a lovely spot this place is. We didn't have time to try the other breakfast and brunch items but I would love to return if I'm back to Seattle again.
Very well located, small and cozy feel with a store attached where you can buy items from all over Europe. Great affordable prices. Don't miss trying this spot - it will make your heart happy and warm just like it did with mine :)
This place is pretty quirky and small and not ideal for sit down and eat (there’s some cramped tables in their store section) but more like pick up and go. They have pastries but most didn’t look very appetizing so I got a mini chocolate croissant which was the perfect size (most croissants are too big in my opinion) just enough to enjoy the flavor. The coffee wasn’t bad either. Oh and they have a big selection of Swiss chocolate. I got two but didn’t feel like the taste was anything special? Pretty good chocolate though.

All of the rest of the reviews are pretty much correct. I've been in when the chef/cashier was getting pastries out of the tabletop oven and swearing to herself, "Burned them again!" The hours are unreliable. This is not a well-financed business and help can be out. I get a large hot tea, for which they stuff gourmet tea into tea sacs. There are tables for lunch -- seating for 6 -- with plastic covers tacked over their tops. There used to be a fondue lunch once a month. I don't know whether that's still going. But it's not the food or the convenience or the hours or the fondue or the chocolates imported from Switzerland that made me a daily customer when I worked downtown. It's the adventure and joy and kindness of someone trying to make a go of it and welcoming gratefully every customer with a cheap CD player playing hits from the '70's. It's the suspense of whether the pastries will come out well this time. It's friction-full interface of lovely accepting proprietors tending to the young tech diaspora of Indian, Chinese, French, and Russian software engineers and project managers. I love it.
We loved the swiss hot choco, not heavy and sweet. Cozy seating options thru out different section of the shop.
Great little place. The flourless almond torte is delicious, and there are plenty of places to have a chat with a friend or coworker. The workers are friendly, and the store is darling.

A very cozy coffee shop plus a small store in downtown Seattle. And it has the best Mocha or hot chocolate drink. The coffee beans they use is from Victrola Coffee.
The owners and staff are all very nice and friendly. If you sit down and eat, they are awesome people to have a conversation with about almost anything. Some of the pastry items are great (try the Belgium waffle). I am so happy we still have this place after the pandemic in this location.
A downtown café that opens at 9am seems quite unacceptable to me, but anyway, I managed to visit Café Suisse on a rainy morning and tried their croissant, a mediocre one at best, soft, dry and lacks flavor. Disappointed, I was then intrigued by their Swiss chocolate and almond cake and had a piece, which turned out quite satisfying.
This is a small bakery cafe that sells traditional style pastries and content to be living in its little world. The price, service, and interior decor (lots of old Swiss maps and posters!) all reflect that simple joy and pride. Customers don't come here for the taste (which is just ok), they come for the familiar comfort. If one of the handwritten notes in the pastry shelf reads, "best chocolate cake", I wouldn't accuse them of lying. After all, this is how we all remember about our grandma's cake.
They have many gluten free options, but also note that they don't seem to make a lot everyday so they may start to sell out things in the late morning.
My wife and I each just had an excellent mocha. Smooth Swiss chocolate at just the right temperature. It was perfect for a cold Seattle day.
The owner was very friendly. We'll stop in and check out the small market in the back when we are back in the neighborhood and have more time.

This is my favorite spot in Seattle. Stepping into the cafe genuinely feels like leaving the city behind and escaping to some little corner of a quiet European town. The hot chocolate actually tastes like chocolate, which is rather unusual in the age of Starbucks. The knickknacks and toys in the shop are delightful and make great gifts, and the fridge full of European groceries is a great resource when you're trying to treat yourself to a nice homemade meal. The staff are also great, and their dogs are very friendly! I can't recommend this place highly enough.
