Had the sausage, Nam Kao and Kua Mee Lao. The sausage and the nam Kao were really delicious. The Kua Mee Lao was far too sweet. Would definitely come back, though would probably just do takeout.

First time visit to this establishment. I saw the chicken wings on the menu and was overly excited. They were out of stock. This fish was really sad, but the lemongrass sausage and the Kua Mee Lao with Beef made up for it. The sausage was crispy outside and each bite was very savory with a nice kick of spices + lemongrass. The noodle portion is extremely large. This is more for two to share. Overall good service and food.

While craving for Lao food, we found this place on internet and went to order for takeaway: grilled chicken, beef jerky, Lao sausage, tam som… Everything was so good with real authentic flavours. The chicken was especially amazing. And it’s so good that they provide traditional dips with the dishes 😍.

"Some of the best Thai/Lao food in Seattle and reasonable prices..." Pros: Delicious, very tasty and flavorful Thai and Lao cuisine. Prices are very reasonable and fair portion sizes. Authentic taste and does not sacrifice the flavors to try and please an American palate. Highly recommended. Cons: Cash only (no debit/credit cards accepted), limited parking, may be difficult to locate, restaurant exterior may deter those who view the outdoor looks and equate it to below average food quality. Bottom line: A hidden gem in the Mt. Baker neighborhood, Viengthong has served authentic and tasty Thai and Lao dishes for more than 20 years. It has a loyal following for those who know about it, but for the unitiated, don't let the outdoor facade fool you - the food here is excellent. Definitely an amazing restaurant both for the food and price. You will leave very satisfied and will come back for more. Recommendations: Tom Yom Goong (sour soup with seafood, lemongrass, mushrooms, and flavor), BBQ Chicken, and Pad Thai.

Great Lao food, we loved the Nam Kao and Soop Naw Mai, but currently only takeout. Fortunately, there's seating inside but not a full-service dining situation currently. Regarding parking, there's a few parking spaces right in front.

This place is so good! Tofu pad se ew was a huge portion and super tasty. The chicken was seriously amazing and also a huge portion. Try the fresh rolls too! It’s very nice inside and truly is a hidden gem of a place. Highly recommend!

The best and most authentic Laos food you'll find in the Seattle area. The menu and ingredients used are true to Laotian cuisine. I've been to this restaurant since they opened in the 80's. The current owners have been running it since 1992. Not much has changed since then. It's a hidden gem if you're looking for real Laos food. Order the food as is and don't substitute or add to the dishes if you really want to experience authentic Laos flavors. Otherwise, head to another typical Thai restaurant chain. One final note... they use real bah-dak. For all of you that don't know what bah-dak is, it's an important ingredient in Laos food that's usually replaced by fish sauce as to not offend some customers.

This is probably the best Laos restaurant you can find in Seattle. My friends and I are usually here for lunch. We love their papaya salad, beefsteak wrap, and fried fish. Great and friendly customer service. The restaurant is located in a retail plaza so lots of parking.

This place is home. Food is impeccable. Highly recommend the papaya salad, it's so fresh and thick... That crab paste does it every time for me. Can't wait to try more from this place!
