Roy's Cheesesteaks Smyrna

The Gula Report. I was in the area, so I decided to go by and try this cheesesteak that I've read so much about. I'm doing a full critique of the establishment, which includes grading five categories that I believe make up the basic elements that define a restaurant. The final scores are in "forks" rather than stars. Here we go:

Atmosphere: The facility is well decorated and it does appear that there has been an effort made to give it a nice pop-culture ambience. Very professional, nothing really unique, but definitely deserves THREE FORKS!!!

Cleanliness: I went in near closing time, and one could see that it had been a busy day. It wasn't dirty, but could've been more tidy. I didn't have any major cleanliness issues. Health Score was 94. I think they deserve a 3.5 FORKS!!!.

Service: Difficult to grade in this type of restaurant. You basically walk up and order and wait for your food, no service that merits tipping, BUT they were friendly and extremely fast!!! They whipped up my burger, two cheesesteaks and an order of fries in like five minutes!!! For that alone they deserve FOUR FORKS!!!!

Quality of Food: I like the cheeseburger, it wasn't the best, but a good basic burger. I was very surprised at how tasty the fries were.....very good. We sampled a regular Cheesesteak and a Loaded one. These sandwiches are on soft hoagie buns and just loaded down with finely chopped ingredients. A little finer than what I prefer. I felt like they could have used more cheese.....thankfully this didn't impact the juiciness. They were moist enough that I didn't have to choke bites down. Good sandwiches...not the best, but definitely not the worse. I would give the food's quality a 3.5!!!.

Value of Food: I felt like the prices were good compared to other cheesesteaks I've encountered. I would give them 3.5 FORKS for their pricing!!!.


Final Score: 3.5 FORKS!!!. GOOD, I'd eat here again, but I doubt I'd travel a long distance to eat here.
