My brother and I stopped in for breakfast.
He had the chicken fried steak with potatoes I had a western omelette with egg beaters and potatoes.
The service was great the food was great we had a nice time early in the morning.
Good homemade food. Salisbury steak and cod specials were good, especially the first one, and sides were good as well. And the corn muffin! Specialty dishes are served right away!!!
I love the Smyrna Diner. I’m always looking to try out any local diners in the area, and admittedly hadn’t been impressed with ones near Dover. But this place is definitely up there and despite COVID limiting their staff over the past two years, we have never had any issues with their service or food. Place is massive, has a great breakfast buffet and their menu has some dishes that have become my favorite to have. Wait staff is always friendly and even the kids that do the initial waiting and bill paying are respectful (even if there is the occasional sour apple that doesn’t seem like they having a great day; it’s gonna happen). If you want a great place to have a get together for food and want to support a local business, here ya go.

We're in town visiting family & they recommended we come here. I had breakfast and my husband had lunch. My corned beef hash was the best I've ever had. His onion rings were amazing and his Reuben was terrific, too.

Huge portions for a great price and very friendly service. Their biscuits are soft and far from dry. With a perfectly sized menu you can't go wrong stopping in here any time of day.
It's a typical diner. If you want a decent meal at a decent price this is the place. You can't get breakfast wrong, and there is always a hot cup of coffee ready. Ive had lunch here as well, and everything is pretty good. There is a nice selection of pies, and always a daily special.
This place is a keeper! The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very good! We enjoyed breakfast food that was just like Grandma use to make! Coffee was fresh and food was served promptly and cooked to order!
