Beautiful restaurant, like stepping back in time. The food is good, although not very imaginative. I had the venison, which was excellent, but my husband was disappointed with his fish entree. Appetizers were very good (Brussels sprouts and mussels especially). But best of all were the desserts! They have a nice old vine Zinfandel by the glass, tried two other reds which were just ok. Although expensive, definitely a nice place to celebrate an event as it is elegant and relaxed (and maybe a little old fashioned)

Can't wait to return! Best Maryland crab soup! Loved the chef, the historic building, the food, wine list, menu options. Went for dinner and returned for lunch. Must be great when the weather is nice and one can enjoy the patio outside. No idea why Open Table said it closed at 8pm. We arrived at 7:55pm - I wanted to see the building built in the 1700s- and they were still serving. Orvis store across street looks very cool too. Next time!

No special occasion just wanted to try something new very romantic atmosphere the food was I give it a 10 everything was wonderful the waitress was excellent. And friendly people. And yes I will be back to try something different the food was awesome. I really enjoy the presentation of the butter.
