Black Label is my favorite pub. Fun people. Dan and Steve (and Josh) are the best! Friendly place, good beer, and good food available at Mediterrano!!

Great beer/nice folks/casual chic atmosphere. If you haven’t been to the Saranac Commons, you need to go. Basically, it’s a gourmet food court. Saranac Commons knocked the upscale food court concept out of the park. Saranac Commons is casual chic dining that has taken root in Spokane in the past several years. The vast improvement in eateries in Spokane has made Spokane a much better place in which to live.

Their beer is excellent. I’m not a beer drinker. For me to give kudos to a brewery is rare.

I tasted my first braggot at Black Label. Braggot is cross between mead and beer. It has a sweetness and bitterness that is very well balanced. Both my husband and I thought braggot would be a great pairing with spicy, Asian food. My husband, a Scotch whiskey devotee, is eagerly awaiting BLBC’s scotch ale.

The staff at BLBC are very personable and the service is excellent. We enjoyed chatting with the owners.

Don’t be misled by the no-kitchen status of the brewery. BLBC doesn’t fix food. With Common Crumb Bakery and Mediterano in the same food court, you will have plenty of savory options. My husband and I haven’t eaten at Common Crumb Bakery. We did eat at Mediterano and both were very impressed. I’m picky about Mediterranean food. Mediterano is the real deal. And Mediterano’s food is very reasonably priced.
