Been there forever, and I cannot count how many times I've driven by it since 1989....and never went in. How wrong I was, huh? This is a great diner. And easily one of the friendliest in town. Everybody in there was smiling and welcoming. We had not one, but three different servers come over and ask us how everything was, with genuine interest in our experience. Well, it was delicious. Wonderful house roasted turkey on my club, and my cup of clam chowder actually tasted like clam chowder. So many diner chowders unfortunately taste like corn starch. Also got to try my daughter's pancakes, and they were fluffy goodness. Pretty impressed on how quick we were able to be in and out of there, as well. That was helpful on a busy Black Friday shopping day. Excellent job, Chalet, in all phases of your diner...
Classic Spokane restaurant. I have actually never had dinner here, but breakfast (served all day) is tasty. The atmosphere is great - if you're over 65. It's a retro experience! Service here is always top notch.
Perfect for hangovers!. Cheap, good hash browns and sausage. Quiet. When your head hurts from last night and you need greasy food, this is where to go.
Good and quick. My mom and I drove past the Chalet for seven years, and used to joke about trying the "Shall Let". I finally tried it for breakfast. True it caters to the geriatric crowd, but good quick service and good food for the price. I may have to go back and try the steak and prawns for $8.99, just for sh*&ts and giggles. I won't be expecting much.
