Rut has become my favorite plant based restaurant. The ambience is chill and Modern. I had the best cocktails called The Poet and Tell me something good. All my food was SO DELICIOUS. I had the Marsala, Buffalo cauliflower wings and Sicilian Sunset Tart. And the service was amazing! I can feel the passion and enthusiasm radiating from the owner (I am assuming she was the owner) when she talked about the cocktails. I find it amazing that so much thought was put into making the drinks. I will always remember this place will return the next time I'm in town.
Tried out 3 dishes here.
The Thai ginger cauliflower wings were well seasoned, but not repeat worthy.
The Jackfruit tacos were delicious but too oily because of excess salsa macha.
The vegan chicken wrap was outstanding I would definitely repeat it. It used tamarind sauce, cilantro and Caribbean spices, and ended up tasting like an Indian Frankie roll. All the ingredients from the wrap, cabbage to crispy chicken were high quality, fresh and impeccably prepared.
The food and drinks are delicious. The brats and potato dish with mustard seeds was filling and tasty, lots of flavor. The drinks are generously sized and flavorful. We ordered the vegan cherry cheesecake and house-made ice cream based on the waiter's recommendation. The cheesecake was decent and large, but I liked the ice cream better just because I can make a better vegan cheesecake and I was too stuffed to finish it.
The all vegan menu has a lot of delicious options that make it great for people looking for different types of food. All items tried were delicious! The only issue was the price to volume ratio is pretty terrible. More veggies would be a cheap thing to add to allow two people to actually get full from a $60 bill.
Great service + delicious vegan food! I got the BBQ Jackfruit with dirty fries + my husband got the not-chicken sandwich with a salad. They were both so yummy! I highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower wings!
So I live in Post Falls, but have no problem driving 30 minutes to this place. The food is SO delicious and VERY consistent. I don’t eat out at most restaurants due to the lack of quality and care that noticeably goes into their menus. I know with pure confidence that the cooks at Rut genuinely care about the quality of what they put out. The menu is so creative and nothing from Spokane to CDA compares. Truly a gem this place. Also, Much love to the amazing service this place provides, every time. (Especially Dianna)
Delicious, most if not all of the menu sounded amazing. Pomegranate limeade is top notch, my bf love love loves the not-chicken sandwich.
(If you get take out ask for utensils if needed, I ate my bokchoy bowl with no fork 😢)
**Service and Ambiance**
Very nice ambiance, our server was very nice. Still not entirely sure if they allow dogs, did overhear some talk about my pup while we were there.
**Food**
Food was pretty delicious, and very surprised by how not vegan it tasted!
We got their Buffalo cauliflower “wings”, Thai ginger cauliflower “wings”, truffle Mac N cheese, and matcha & hibiscus cheesecake.
They were just called “wings”, tasted more like cauliflower bites. If only the coating wasn’t that thick. Mac N Cheese had a whole lot of turmeric in it and truffle oil didn’t really come through.
**Drinks**
We got the Paloma and Mint Julep. The mint julep was V sweet >.< not a huge fan but Paloma tasted really good!
**Overall**
In all the food was really good! Definitely check it out when you’re in Spokane.
