Hands down one of my favorite spots in the inland Northwest. This the Baby Bar , PAC Ave pizza and the Swamp. Great staff, great beer and drinks the food is super good . The music never disappoints.
This place is awesome!! I highly recommend this place to anyone. Bartenders are super chill and great company excellent drinks aswell. Try the tattoine sunset!!
This place used to be called The Blue Spark. It's a small ish bar. I come here for the food. Everything is made in house, bold flavors, costs $10 or less, serves food until 1am and free WiFi. Not sure how much better it gets then that. My favorite is the bao banh mi and the curry tofu rice bowl!
This place is one of the best small venues to catch a show. The sound crew is top notch. The space has been well treated acoustically and contributes to an amazing live experience. Staff and management is caring and passionate. All open minded and nice people are welcome. Not nice people are asked to leave which contributes to a welcoming and safe atmosphere.
I went to the something about Monday comedy show. It was free and fun. My friends were also shocked how cheap the beer was not sure if it was a special but the staff was great and the crowd was fun. I have been back a couple of times for other free events and this place gets better every time. I don’t even drink but like going to this bar.
The first thing you notice when you walk into this place is that everyone is smiling, from the doorman to the customers. I went there Friday night with some friends and honestly had one of the best times of my life in downtown Spokane. The karaoke song choices were really fun with the retro 80s tunes. The porters were fantastic. I'm not very good at karaoke myself, but people randomly offered us drinks between our yodeling sessions. I'll definitely be coming back.
Amazing building, amazing concept to everything they’re trying to accomplish. They always have the best choices for music, you will find new rising artists that will shock you. Food is unusual and delicious. The only thing I wish is that the staff was more accommodating/accepting to customers. I tend to get overlooked or feel as if I’m a burden to them. The girl in there is a doll though. Be happy, be efficient and be thankful we’re in your establishment. 🤙🏼
Amazing bar with great drinks, staff & shows. They are unfortunately taking a lot of flack from narrow minded bigots who don't like diversity or anyone with a more tolerant mindset, which is all the more reason to support them. The Observatory is an fantastic bar and one of our favorite downtown haunts!!
I live in Portland, OR but visit Spokane frequently and The Observatory is one of my favorite spots in downtown. The food is fantastic (don't miss the salmon curry bowl!) and the musical lineup is always stellar. Even if you're going in solo, the patrons are friendly and the service is great. I've gone in several times by myself for a show and always end up meeting really cool people. I have and will continue to recommend this place to friends that visit from out of town. The folks behind The Observatory have done a really amazing job!
Decent drinks they rotate so the selection changes. Constructive criticism: the tacos need work. Way too much onion/garlic powder. Need to cut back a bit. Also, corn tortillas are way better on the type of tacos they are trying to serve.
Side note, the owner is very friendly and wants to make sure you're having a great time.
