As locals to St. Augustine we frequent this pub on a regular basis, more often than any other restaurant in town as do many locals and return visitors to St. Augustine. Many of us have become friends while sitting on the porch over a plate of fish and chips, their delicious quiche special and a pint or a glass of wine. A major part of the pub's appeal is due to that very same atmosphere mentioned in a previous review. For us and many friends who have been to both countries, a genuine 'Irish pub' atmosphere is a rare treasure, difficult to find and much appreciated at the Prince of Wales. This is the most enjoyable restaurant in town and has never failed to provide a fun, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. It is the first place we bring old and new friends and out of town guests to visit, knowing Trish and all of the staff will extend an enjoyable meal, a warm welcome and an especially memorable experience.
Our family found this place while out riding around. Some of us are from Georgia. We all loved the food and the staff!! We will be back!
P.s we took our food with us that we didn't finish. We had fries, my husband and I tried them cold. Still tasted great! ( that has never happened to us! Lol)

Location is perfect . Just off one block from the main tourist attraction St George St. Parking next door. Cozy interior and Patio.
Lovely Irish lady who go above and beyond just to please you. I'm not sure if she's the owner or not but she cares about the customers for sure. The food was delicious and we just came from Ireland and Great Britain and the food taste just like the one we had in Ireland. The restroom was nice and clean. Food we order came quick we did not have to wait too long but it wasn't that busy. We will be back for more. I almost forgot it's dog friendly. The lady keep changing freshwater in the pot for the dogs who came with the owners. Highly recommend this place even if you just want to have a drink on the patio.
Fantastic Staff and Food!
We love to travel with our pup Nikolai Pappoochnik! So finding places with pup friendly dinning are a must.
Ms.Trish was fabulous! Our Nikolai had played with her pup when he was about 6months old. Being 3 yrs. now we were hoping hers would be there as well. He wasn't but, we still enjoyed our dinner.
I had Fish and Chips with Guinness and my husband had Beef and Guinness Pie, SO DELICIOUS!
We talked to a bunch of locals and met their pups.
Enjoyed our evening with everyone and can't wait to go back to St.Augustine so we can done there again 💜
Our 2nd time here, and just as wonderful! Great fish and chips, cottage pie, beef and Guiness pie (my choice) and plenty of beers and ciders! Nice porch to sit and eat, people watch and play with the owner's dog, Albert! Trish is a wonderful host and very attentive and appreciative of your business!
This is such a charming pub in a little cottage. A great mom and pop place that has the best fish and chips we’ve eaten in St. Augustine. Very friendly owners. Lovely meal on the front porch!
Perfect for English comfort food. Dog friendly porch wraps around the quaint house. Warm and welcoming owners. Just a few steps away from the main streets of the historic downtown.
Been to The Prince of Wales several times over the years. Always good service, good food, and an enjoyable atmosphere. It's a cozy environment with a mix of locals and visitors all enjoying themselves. A popular late evening option when a lot of other restaurants in the area have already closed.
we stoped there for one beer and stayed there for few more beers and Mozzarellasticks. it was really great there. albert, the dog, is the star here!
Always great service & the fish and chips hit the spot everytime!
