Love this place. Went with a group of 10 for a birthday. They not only allowed me to reserve a table in advance (they don't do reservation) but allowed us separate checks
we were outside on their deck, great view and our waitress was super. Food was great, nice mix of seafood and bbq and reasonable. Will def be back. Only draw back is they are only open for dinner and parking could be iffy on a weekend night.
The restaurant decoration is super cute and random. I should have taken a picture of the raccoon that was fishing; LOOK AT HIS TOES!! Ordered a pitcher of white sangria which was more than enough for myself and in law. We ordered a fish dip and dondanville oyster. Seems like there's a common theme of vermouth in their food here also. The fish dip was good and very filling. The oysters were different than what I'm used to; it's a few small ones to make up for a regular size one or something. There was complimentary bread that was very soft and fluffy; I wished we asked for more but it was already too much food. I ordered the cucumber fish with flounder. Very cucumber-y surprisingly but it was good. Overall though it was good but the food is a little too heavy.
A great atmosphere to try wonderful Florida cracker style food... Catfish alligator tail great fried chicken and ribs and the fresh fish. Really really good home feeling with great service and views!
Enjoyable experience. Great food, super wait staff, intriguing location and decor.
Reminds me of the great seafood restaurants we had in St. Petersburg years ago.
Good fresh seafood. Good southern cooking. The view is beautiful! Recommend any one of the catch of the days.
Fun location. A really fun atmosphere and really good food. 2nd favorite seafood place in the area (black Molly ' is first but can't compete with the view at swc)
The best grits I've ever had! So very yummy. A little over priced but great service. & you can't beat the view!
My husband and I absolutely love this place and eat here every time we come to town. The Restaurant is set on the marsh and the atmosphere is delightful - old Florida cracker and so very cozy. The food is outstanding! Always! The entrees are oh so yummy but my favorite favorite favorite thing on the menu is the cheese grits. OMG! You gotta try 'em! The service is always good and the prices are excellent. We love Saltwater Cowboys.
Good food! We had the grilled scallops, grilled shrimp, BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs, broc casserole, baked potato, fries and cole slaw. Really good food.
Like an old Florida Cracker boathouse, expect to taste an exceptional meal of Florida seafood. On our table tonight was fresh fish dip, blackened stuffed fish, stuffed shrimp
And BBQ shrimp. All was very flavorful, well prepared, and quickly delivered hot to our table. The white crab sauce liberally ladled over the stuffed fish and shrimp was the perfect addition that really set off both dishes. Spinach casserole and the cheesy grits that were described by my wife as both "OMFG" and "the bomb" were both pleasant surprises. Just another Saint Augustine dining diamond.
Delicious food, friendly service, and a wonderful view ✨ Came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately. Our server Alex was wonderful and attentive. Food arrived quickly and was delicious, no complaints really. I had shrimp and grits, and honestly they were amazing! Would love to come back to Salt Water Cowboys in the future.
Saturday evening around 7.30pm second time here and the place was full. They were out of a lot of what was on the menu but Shrimp salad was good. Service was pretty fast considering how busy they were. Liked that the waitress opened all the blinds to so we could all watch the sun setting and it was beautiful. Will be back - definitely recommend this place.
Great dining experience! We got there at the end of a big turn. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about what the kitchen have and what the kitchen didn't have, Which to me defines a great restaurant if the people who are serving you the food know exactly what's going on in the kitchen!
Great place, great food, great service, great location. You get the beach vibe from the decorative dining room, and outside feels like a fish camp. We only had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, which isn't bad compared to other local restaurants that are similar in quality. This place is off the beaten path, but worth it. The cole slaw is absolutely the best I've ever had. The stuffed shrimp is my favorite item on the menu (I had the 3 way). The fried pickles and cheese grits are also very good. This was my second time eating here, but definitely not my last.
