Good sushi and friendly staff. I eat here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. My favorites are the midnight fantasy, house and incredible rolls.
I have ordered out at this little place twice and was truly impressed with food both times. Rolls were delicious and very fresh. This restaurant is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with this area but it's a hidden gem! Strongly recommended.
Great sushi and price. The sushi is good. Large tasty rolls with a good price point (about $6-8 per roll). Our favorites were the black dragon and rock n roll. They weren't like the other sushi places versions of the same rolls. Liked them so much we ordered them to go. Got the chicken teriyaki with fried rice as well. Veggies were over cooked, chicken tasted good, sauce good, rice okay. Oddly tasted better cold than hot. Nice, attentive, friendly service.
Best sushi place by far! It's a little place in the publix shopping center but it is sooo worth it!

This quant little resturant tucked in the publix plaza instead of being located where urbanspoon says was actually about two miles east. Wasabi was a little unsure of us as we entered with our service dog but quickly accepted us and sat us. For being a smaller resturant there were about 20 to thirty tables with medium lighting and quick service, unlike traditional restaurants the owners and or managers served and waited on us. With quick service we ordered our favorite rolls that were up to par and almost as delicious as our favorite resturant back home. All In all wasabi was a pleasant and filling experience and was reaonable in price. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite of Asian cuizine to stop in!
Wasabi is my go to for place for consistently good sushi. I have tried all the sushi restaraunts in town (Fusion, Spy, Tokyo Thai, Yamatos). With the exception of Pacific Asian Bistro, which is a little bit of a hike for us, Wasabi is the best and tastes great every time we visit. They have a nice selection of rolls and entrees that are always fresh and delicious! Wasabi also has a pretty decent selection of veggie options which I haven't found at other sushi spots in town. The servers are always friendly and the restaraunt is super clean and pretty cute. They will even deliver (minimun 20$ order) if you aren't down for going in for dinner. Check this place out, you won't be dissapointed.
The sushi was deliciose and fresh. The rolls were a good size (not to big). Also the price is very reasonable. I will definatly come back again.
My husband and I eat here almost every week, we've never had a bad experience. The sushi is always fresh and the chicken katsu is some of the best we have ever had! The prices are good and the food is amazing!
I've been to many sushi restaurants in St. Augustine.
Wasabi is the best, the others are good too (sakada, ayara, to name a few) but this place has a wide variety of extremely flavorful rolls .
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sushi fix.
The kani salad is absolutely amazing, my favorite app. The midnight fantasy roll is my favorite roll, out of this world flavors. I definitely would try both. Also the splendid roll, volcano roll, dynamite roll are very good.
The nigiri/sashimi is also a must try, generous portions for a fair price. Salmon is my go to for nigiri, and their spicy scallop is amazing.
The sushi chef is incredibly talented, able to knock out roll after roll at amazing speeds and consistency. I usually order to pick up and the servers are always kind and have my food ready for me upon arrival.
If there was an award for best sushi in the area they deserve it.

Our first time at Wasabi, what a great find! Family run and wonderful to watch. Mom and Dad making and serving, their young ladies helping out like seasoned pros, small restaurant but big flavor and great service, food was awesome, ate the avocado salad so fast forgot to take a picture but it was very good, my wife had the tempura salmon, I had a Tiger roll and tuna, very nice portions ( to much!) We will definitely be back!
Back again! Couldn't help it lol, had to try some other dishes, got that pic of the avocado salad really good! If your near Wasabis and don't try it your missing out!
Service was phenomenal, laid back atmosphere, food was delicious. To the hostess/server who served us I'm sorry you had to witness my brother making me look like and idiot and I apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you.
Food is soooooo good. Prices are very reasonable too for some fresh soosh. This is my go-to for my sushi fix. The eel avocado is outta this world.
Clean and neat. Very friendly and attentive service. Rolls are tasty, tidy and delicious. Try their squid salad as an appetizer. One of the best place we've been so far. Would recommend to visit.

It was delicious!
I went here about once a week when I was in college and in the years after. Great sushi, consistently delicious food and friendly service. Great for take-out too! Really reasonably priced.
