This is, without a doubt, the best meal we have had on our vacation. I say meal because that is what you get here. The owner cooks each meal to order and makes it as if you are family coming over for a celebration. You can taste the love and care in each dish. You can hear her pounding each piece of meat in the kitchen after you order. She simply is working like a machine back there to make each dish special. The food is to die for. The server, Ellah, is wonderful. She is direct and to the point, but also has a great sense of humor. Both were wonderful to my children and made them feel special. You simply must dine here if in the area. None of the other touristy places even come close. In my entire life, this is the first time we have dined at the same place twice while on a vacation. It was that good we had to come back again. My wife lived in Germany as a girl and this is as good as any German cooking she has had. Be prepared to slow down, relax, and enjoy a special meal hand-prepared with love.

The difference between food and a meal is the love found in this dining experience. I’m so happy I decided to stop in and try real, homestyle German food. My server Ella was knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was cooked with love, no shortcuts. I tried the Sauerbraten- tender marinated beef and I highly recommend it. Apple strudel for dessert was perfect- not overly sweet like at the supermarket. Honest, delicious food. Excellent service. This is how dining should always be.

My wife and I go to a restraunt we have never tried for every anniversary (44 years). We have been to at least 10 German restraunts and hands down, this is the best German food we have ever had! Service was great, personable and a pleasure to be in a place where the staff really cares. We will be regular customers and if you like German food, Sandra's German Restraunt is a must!
