Found this restaurant in Historic Kenwood via Zomato on our way to Anna Maria Island from the Tampa Airport. It's right off the highway, but it would be worth an even further trek. So good! And so much food, we'll be eating it for dinner, too. We ordered two large Cubans (we didn't KNOW!), one BLT, and a north of the border nacho for two adults and three preteens. My husband and I shared one Cuban and saved the other for later. Two girls shared the nachos and didn't make a dent, and the third girl ate half of her BLT and didn't touch her chips.
It's not an eat-in restaurant, but they have a small table out front and even brought an extra chair for our party when they saw my husband standing over the table to eat his sandwich. So friendly, too! And every customer that came and went was all smiles and raving about how good it is.
I would definitely go here again, and recommend it to anyone!!

A Hole In The Wall, Don't Be Fooled, This Is A Great Wall.. This place has been around for years and has been in other locations and no matter where they were, they were always great. Where they are now isn’t the best looking location, parking is a bit tight, especially at lunch time, but it’s all worth the wait.
There is no such thing as “I’ll have a “small” (sandwich). Even small is a large in comparison to other sandwich shops. It’s always been like that. When they were at their 13th Avenue location and Papa Joe was still alive, he didn’t make “small” sandwiches. It may have been a “small” roll, but the ingredients were loaded on where you may as well have ordered a large. The tradition has lived and been carried forward. R.I.P. Joe.
Roast beef sandwich is probably a good pound + of meat, Then add the roll and you are going to either be totally full, stuffed, if you eat it all, or be taking half home.
Cuban sandwiches aren’t the typical and traditional Cuban you expect out of Ybor City. It’s a hybrid, bastardized, conglomeration combination of meats and cheese and pickles on a typical bread roll, not Cuban bread. You might call it a Sub, Philly, Hoagie, Grinder from Cuba. Never the less, it’s dern good.
The Italian subs are better than you expect and huge, as all of the sandwiches. When you are there, read the menu, it's really large.
Prices are acceptable, and you get more than you pay for. This isn’t a McDonalds with a dollar menu, this is real, good quality food, with all fresh meats and ingredients.
I think the only thing that comes out of that place that is a usual, normal and expected size, are the toothpicks!!
It's...well...Simply Delicious. ! Cash Only ! Made that mistake several times...Yummy. Eaten there several times. Hands down best Cuban. Not a traditional Cuban, but awesome! Funny to watch interactions between the family that works there. Looks like a dive from the outside but the food is phenomenal. Warning: We always have to eat at home so we are close to the restrooms...but totally worth it!
None no better!. Wow, the food here is as good as any you will find for a sub shop. Their small sub contains a 1⁄2 pound of meat, can you imagine one of these chain joints serving up something like that...ain't gonna happen. So I have been eating food from here for several years and they are consistent in serving fresh food with unheard of portion sizes and always a friendly place to visit.
Awesome food and great staff! Went there for a late lunch, expected a good sandwich, but never expected the enthusiastic chefs and the quality and quantity of the food we received. We bought 3 large cubans for 4 people and had some left over. Even that was tasty the next day! Isn't often I am this genuinely pleased, by I truly am!

We have enjoyed the Cuban sandwiches at Simply Delicious for many years. The subs are laden with the best pork meat I have ever had and are overflowing with veggies to the point where you can hardly get your mouth around it. A foot long can feed 3 people and the price is surprisingly reasonable. Will definitely continue to visit Simply Delicious.
Simply Delicious will always be a hometown fave!! Great customer service, delicious cuban sandwiches and salads as big as your head! The homemade dressing is perfection and I love that it's family owned! Everything is always fresh and you definitely get your money's worth!! They can get very busy so there may be a wait sometimes.

I would encourage you to do so.
But beware Think beyond what your accustom to at least once , order the traditional large Cuban,but beware don't attempt to eat in one seating if over 40yrs old Share with others, but as I always order additional sandwhiches to enjoy separately at late night or next day due to not close proximity.
PS. order extra sauce with Cuban or spaghetti sauce style sandwhiches goes great on your own side salad or you will regret not being able to dip and lick . salad

Wow, amazing flavor and size of sandwich. First time I had one, it was the traditional Cuban sandwich. Loved it.
From the First Lady, to the Son, to the wife, these individuals treat everyone like family when you are served some of their great food. The meatloaf is absolutely delicious and seasoned beyond belief. The salads are healthy and plentiful for you to enjoy at least for two days. Everytime we visit St. Pete, this is always the first stop, not just for the food but for the love that the family at Simply Delicious shares with everyone that pays them a visit. So this a must visit when you come to St. Pete, believe me, they will wow all of your food expectations.
Best Cuban sand which so reasonably priced! Inside not open you order at the door. I’ll be back!!
Excellent food with gigantic sized portions!!! My cuban sandwich was huge...and delicious. It definitely takes 2 people to eat this monster of a sandwich. Unlike a chain restaurant, you can tell each order is carefully made by people that take pride in ensuring you get a great meal with an incredible customer experience. The name says it all...Simply Delicious. That's why it gets a 5 out of 5 without a doubt!!!
