From the moment we entered this quaint urban hideaway, we were in love. Greeted with great music, comfy atmosphere, friendly smiling staff, adorable owner/wine connoisseur Kelly and uber talented husband Chef Alex in the open air kitchen.
After we were versed on how to "the build your own charcuterie tray" we got busy tasting and drinking wines that complimented our food choices.
The chef has two weekly specials and on this day we chose the "spanish style" chorizo oysters rockefeller. . . Can I just say wow! In fact we loved them so much we came back the following day for more.
Along with a wide variety of cheeses and meats Lolita's carries reasonably priced, yummy specialty jars that contain something for everyone. Need a dinner date meal on the fly? Let me suggest buy TWO jars; make a big salad, top it with the contents of a jar, maybe even add some chicken or grilled fish, with a tad of dressing ~ dinner done! Have the second or third jar be a dessert . . .
Remember they are a market too so they sell wine to go at a slight reduction in price from the in-house $( be sure to figure a bottle will yield 4-5 glasses)
NOTE: (Deposit is charged if you insist on taking the actual jar with you)
I was skeptical when some friends asked us to meet them at a new brunch place- but was immediately impressed. Lolita's is absolutely my new favorite place in town. Their brunch is spectacular! I just did one of their first wine pairing dinners and all I can say is Oh My God! It was so great! This place is fantastic- the service is amazing and Chef Alex's creations are divine. This deserves more than five starts.
