My cousin and I returned here Time After Time. Not only is the food excellent, the wait staff is extremely friendly and Interactive. I never want for water or libations. Jimmy, one of the main sushi chef, always seems to make something special for us to try. I highly recommend this place. We usually go to the one on North 4th Street. Newer, bigger and every bit as good as the original on 9th Street
Hook's has been my Sushi spot since, well, I started eating sushi! The new location is just as good as the origianl and so is the sushi & service. My favorite place to come to when celebrations are in order or just a nice relaxing girls night out. Everything is perfect! The Escolar, Sushi sampler, miso soup, Cold Unfiltered Sake TST, you name it! I love you Hook's! <3
This place is great. My go-to spot for sushi and lots of other dishes. Staff is super friendly too.
Was very good!!! Sake was wonderful and so was the sushi. But it was just a tad expensive. If they had a happy hour it would be perfect 👍🏼
If you like asian fusion, you will like this place! There are a lot of different menu items and plenty of sushi rolls to pick from. I personally like very authentic asian food, as I grew up with an asian step mom. This is more asian fusion than authentic asian food. Still pretty good though.
They did seem a little understaffed when I went though.
Excellent service and they accommodate Vegetarian / Vegans. I asked them if they could make me a special roll with tempura asparagus, cucumber, sweet chili sauce, cilantro and scallions.. and they were happy to make it.
Sushi Night!
I got the Spider Roll & The Florida Roll. Both delish as always. It wasn't too crowded which was great! Atmosphere was relaxing.
Excellent sashimi, also strongly recommend the sushi fries, which are fried seaweed wrapped rice. Good sake menu as well and plenty of options for those who don't enjoy raw fish. Edamame, Bibimbap (basically Korean ramen), Pad Thai, General Tsao's chicken... there's something here for everyone! Make sure to get some mochi ice cream or chocolate dipped fortune cookies before you go!
Sushi Nachos are amazing. Love this place. A little hidden gem.
