I've been ordering cakes from the Flour Shop for many, many years, but the cake I bought for my daughter's birthday yesterday was unbelievable. Absolutely gorgeously decorated with frosting springtime flowers. Of course, it was delicious as usual, but the decoration was out of this world.
The icing is literally to die for! Delicious cakes. Also, let it be know that I want the Flour Shop's chocolate cake to be served at my funeral in 60+ years.

The Flour Shop Bakery has delicious goodies in Stevensville! The donuts were VERY Fresh in the middle of the day. I love the many options and the attention to detail every cake, donut, or pie had. I didn't try the pizza, as pizza is in the name of the restaurant. But I will be back to try! The prices are moderate, not too high. There's a free parking lot with plenty of parking. All in all, great experience! 👍
They are just the best!!! So friendly. One time when I was there for no reason they made me a special cake. It. Was. A. WOMBAT!! I LOVED IT SO MUCH! It was a decorated chescak best cheesecake I've had besides my memaws. Get yerself some cake!! I LOVE YOU EMILY!!
Love love love the cakes from this place. My family has been buying our special occasions cakes from the flour shop for decades. Absolutely lovely staff and hands down one of the best bakeries in southwest Michigan.
THIS. IS. MY. FAVORITE. BAAAAAAKERYYYY. Oh my gosh this is the best bakey I have ever seen. Even though I am baised cuz I haven't been to every bakery but out of all of them this is the best. I recommend trying the sugar cookie
Great bakery. Cakes, pies, and cookies are all amazing.
I've tried a variety of stuff from here; it's all excellent. The Bavarian cakes are where it's at though; the light, airy, less sweet sponge cake, with the absolutely delightfully whipped filling. Vanilla Bavarian cake with raspberry filling.... absolute perfection. The cheesecakes are also of the dense, heavy, very filling variety, so if that's your jam - they're worth a try. Notable mention to the little German Chocolate cakes, which I also have to get if they have any in the display case.
Regarding some of the lower starred reviews: yes, the place is a bit of a hole in the wall. But you're here to pick up baked goods, not bask in the ambiance, so I cannot fathom why one would knock off stars for that. If I had to pick a favorite bakery, it's this one for sure.
Oh, but as a side note.... The "& pizza" part of the Google title is a lie. They may have done that years ago, but they do not anymore.
My kids love their frosted cookies because they come in fun shapes. We have had Dalmatian cookies, turtles, baseballs, smiley faces, flowers, and crowns. All delicious! On our most recent trip we got donuts as well and they were a big hit for breakfast.
We’ve sampled quite a few things over the past six months and enjoyed it all, but I have to say your apple dumpling is OUT OF THIS WORLD good!
We got a Bavarian cake with half lemon and half raspberry filling and it was absolutely delicious! All of our party guests raved about how beautiful and delicious it was. Would never consider getting an event cake anywhere else.
I dare you to find something in this bakery that isn't beyond delicious! Their eclairs are to die for but, then again, so is everything else. I haven't found anyone who doesn't find their pizzas delicious. And their sheet cakes are always popular and you never have to worry about leftovers. These people know what they're doing when it comes to what they do. And their pricing is extremely reasonable. If you haven't ordered from the Flour Shop, you need to.
